Give him some time and use a bit of common sense instead of stupid ****ing knee jerking, complete witchhunt by bitter Rafa boys!

I'd sack him right now. He never should have been given the job in the first place. He couldn't have impressed me less. I'm convinced Kenny would do a better job, at least until we have new owners.

The only thing he's good at his interviews, he talks a good game, but on the pitch we're dreadful, his tactics are straight from the mid 90's.

That is really the big difference between Rafa and Roy.

We may not have won all the easy games but we totally dominated in almost every game at home in the so called must win games. We never sat back, we attacked them all the time and created chance after chance. All the teams in the world parked the buss outside the box at Anfield. They feared to play us at Anfield.

Totally different mentality. Rafa banged in the words that it's opposition that should fear us at Anfield. Not a single team in the world will enjoy playing us at Anfield. That is the mentality he banged into the players heads.

Now Roy even comes up with excuses before the games. Like the one today against Sunderland with the protests and all that. Totally different mentality.

          None of the above.

I think he deserves a chance, but there must come a point in the season where an assessment is made to decide whether he's doing a good job or not. Now is far too soon.

He's not a man I consider good enough to win us trophies. I'd sack him as soon as new owners had their foot in the door. Doing so before hand would be foolish.

The next 5 games will show if he is up to much. By then we should have new owners.

Won the easy games very easy and gave the other teams a good fight.

5 wins 1 draw and 4 losses. 3 1 2 if you only count the league.
So Rafa was 2 points better with an easier start, we should have got rid of him there and then.

It might be foolish but I don't care. I really want him gone. I havent been ale to say this about anyone since Souness, but I just can't stand him

The other night, when the young players were desperate for encouragement and instructions, he just stood their motionless on the touchline, arms crossed, looking totally shellshocked. He offered nothing at all.

                  He drives me ****ing bonkers

O'Neil certainly would but can we afford to sack Roy, and doesn't he deserve a chance?

Rafa's record at Anfield in the league.

                      78 wins
                      27 draws
                      9 losses

229 goals scored. 71 goals let in.

That is mentality every manager must bang into the players heads. That we are almost unbeatable at Anfield. If he don't do that then he simply isn't the right man for us.

Didn't want him appointed (small post match rant last year aside) & he's worse than I feared but I'd give him another 5 games mainly cos there's no other alternative.

Haven't voted cos none of those options fit my opinion. Shame I won't be able to see the results, but at least I have danperkins' incredibly well-thought out commentary to keep me in the loop on developments.

Sure let's give him five more games, but I think will be monitoring developments closely.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

That includes last season? How many times had we lost at home not including the 1st and last? Be interested to see season by season stats.

A few things from the Roy Hodgson book of tactics that drive me to instant, uncontrollable rage:

                              - We never close the oppostion down. Why? It's nonsensical. We just invite pressure on ourselves. Did Fulham play this way last year? I must be wrong but I have an image in my head of them closing down players and working damn hard at it. We're certainly not doing that.

                              - The hoof mentality. It's worse than ever. Playing the ball out from the back seems to be actively discouraged

                              - Fullback not allowed to overlap. We're not a team blessed with too much individual creative genius, and more importantly, we lack any proper wingers. We have no width in the team, the ball is always played into the crowded midfield area, and due to a lack of options we give the ball away time and time again. If we had some fullbacks hugging the touch line it would help so much. But it seems this is not encouraged by Roy.

                              - Man marking. For all those that moaned about zonal marking, what do you think now? We are as bad at defending corners and crosses as we have been in recent memory. Every ball flung into the box causes chaos.

                              - Two (****) DM in almost every game.

                              - Substitutions. He leaves them even later than Rafa did!

                              - His lack of touchline activity. He's barely ever on the touchline. When he is he just stands there with his arms crossed. ****ing do something!

Rafa was ****ing useless in his first season in the league, but he was incredible in the CL and regularly helped LFC to be amongst the best 4 teams in Europe during his tenure.

Domestically Rafa failed but in all of Fergies time at Man Utd he has made 3 CL finals, Rafa made 2 in his first 3 seasons. Incredible stuff and something that any new manager we get will ever replicate, regardless of whether we have two bob to spend or 200 million. As Richard Keys said in his closing speech of the 2005 CL final, we may never see the likes of it again.
