If we can't expect to beat Northampton and Sunderland at home, be higher in the table than 16th and have more than one win in six, then we've got no ****ing chance.
Everything he says is embarrassing...including patting himself on the sodding back to say I told you so.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I can't remember seeing a manager getting in to the defensive and talking down expectations so quickly at a club, nevermind at a big club...
Fair enough that we need time to get the team playing well together, but we should still manage to pull results and play at least decent for some parts of the matches.
With this mentality Hodgson won't last long here, and I think he feels the pressure already...

Three or four new players in the starting XI isn't a lot of new players.
Meireles and Poulsen is really the only players that may need time to adapt. Konchesky and Cole already know the league.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.
He blames everyone bar one, himself.Stop the cyberhate

Well we consider ourselves unlucky to have a deluded manager who feels happy to end the week "on a high" having got beat at home to a fourth division side, then scraped a draw against an average midtable side a few days later.“I consider myself unlucky not to be sitting here describing a victory."
I'm seriously pissed off here

In fairness to Roy the heartbeat of the side in Joe, Raul, Poulsen and Gerrard has three new players, two of which will of course take time to find their feet in the league. Throw in Jova and Konchesky and it's a completely new left side. Then add in Torres who is still finding form and fitness and it was never going to be easy.
Take into account all those factors and it is clear to see that we are some way short of where our best form will be under Hodgson. All that said though, I don't think he's made it easy for himself or the team.
I think in every game so far this season we have shown that when we actually have had a go at teams we have dominated the play and looked like a very capable side. Problem is the times we actually go for it have been very few and far between.
I do wonder where we'd be in the league if Roy had actually instructed the players to go out and have a real go at the opposition. I'm guessing we'd have more than 6 points.
Problem is that Roy has shown in the past that he is a conservative manager and I wonder if we will ever be let of the leash.
I laugh when I think Johndoe suggested we get Ian Holloway in, and he is clearly not yet at the tactical level of Hodgson. But he would have instructed us too attack and with the players we have it's hard not to think we would actually be doing better under him. I'm not for one second suggesting we get Holloway in, but a more experienced coach with the same ambitious attacking policy would be nice.Forwards.......

Tbh I think he is only trying to keep the pressure of the players. It's no good him talking up the teams chances if he is not convinced they will get results just yet. Wouldn't exactly help things if he came out and said we should be at least 4 points better of than what we are.Originally posted by Rich View PostYet another terrible set of quotes from Hodgson.
All I'm reading is either excuse after lame excuse or him being pleased with the way we have started!
Only thing concerned about is the way he is asking the team to play, though I guess you could say his quotes reflect our style of play. But I don't think that for one second Roy thinks 16th place is good enough for LFC, be that after 6 games or 38 games.Forwards.......

Rafa slowly built up the club to play pass and move attacking football. He changed our youth teams to do that and the reserve teams. He signed players for the senior team to do that.
Johnson, Insua and Aquilani instead of more defensive players. Then we sign up a manager that play hoof ball
The whole club was built to play attacking pass and move football. It took a few years but that was what Rafa clearly wanted.
Roy, you should take a look at the team. The team isn't built to play hoof ball. It's built to play football. A few years ago it was built to play hoof ball. That was at the end of the 2003-04 season. Now it's as I said built to play pass and move attacking football.
When you understand that to start with then we will probably win more games.Stop the cyberhate

Diomansy Kamara says Fulham's style of football and training methods were worse under Roy Hodgson than they are now.Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara believes the Cottagers are playing more stylish football under current manager Mark Hughes than they did under his predecessor Roy Hodgson.
Kamara praised new Fulham manager Mark Hughes, who replaced current Liverpool boss Hodgson in the summer, for his more attacking approach.
Fulham striker Kamara said: 'We play more attacking football now. So for me it is better. I enjoy the style of football here more now under Hughes.
On the ball: Diomansy Kamara (left) in action for Fulham against Everton on Saturday
'There is no fault with Roy Hodgson, he did really well here, but training with Hughes is better - you do more with the ball. You do more running with the ball and you are trying to score.'
Kamara is relishing the chance to play for such a highly-regarded former striker, saying: 'Who does not know Mark Hughes? He had those years at Barcelona and Manchester United. He was a great player with a lot of charisma. When you are player like Hughes, a striker, you can learn more, because he was a great striker.'
Kamara was not in favour with Hodgson, having been sent out on loan to Celtic last season. But an injury crisis among Fulham strikers has meant that Kamara is back in the first team picture for Fulham, coming on as a substitute in Saturday's 0-0 home draw with Everton.
'I was injured for the past few months but I think i have more chance now to play,' he said.
'I was on loan at Celtic and it was a good experience but I was there with Tony Mowbray and ,when he was sacked, he told me it made no sense to stay at this club. It was a good experience for me and I learned a little bit about Scottish football.'
Speaking about his injury, he added: 'Someone kicked me on the foot in the summer - a sore foot, that is it. That has kept me out until now.'Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He's right, my expectations are high, it comes hand in hand with being a Liverpool supporter. Regardless of form or off field issues, I expect us to win every home game regardless of the opponent and win most away games too. If things don't go our way the minimum I expect is a good performance. What I'll never expect is being outplayed in every domestic game before October and being told by our manager that my expectations were too high and a draw against a mid_table team, ends my Liverpool week on a high.
