Hodgson signed a three-year contract when he joined Liverpool from Fulham in July and it is understood to contain a compensation clause in the event of a new owner wanting to install its own manager. He said yesterday: "I have a three-year contract so if someone wants to get rid of me they presumably will have to pay out my three years contract."
    He's an arrogant prick.
    Are we winning?

Is that not how all contracts work anyway? If you get sacked, you are due the remainder of your contract as compensation? Great negotiating again Roy, now I understand how we got Poulsen as such a bargain price.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Actually think Rafa preferred Agger but when he came back from injury Skrtel was playing better than ge ever has since so Agger had to play his way back in cos Carra was also top quality back then. Then there was Sami.

              Compare our options now.

2 things has to be said abt. Aggers injury.

                    1. He did not play in the first match against Portugal, as he still was injured. He didn't event join in the plane or the training in DK before the match.
He only joined before the second match of the period, as he felt free of problems. So he didn't manage a miraculous comeback. I am sure, he had contact to Liverpool before he contacted Morten Olsen. He made the first 38 minutes, but had to leave, as he had problems with his wooden leg (not his back - but a knee punched into his upper leg). This is his problem now - even though his back has been a major problem lately. He is expected to only be out for 10-14 days according to the major danish sportsmagasine "Sporten" http://www.sporten.dk/fodbold/agger-ude-10-14-dage

                    2. Agger has aired frustrations about his lack of matchtime under Hodgson - but also aired frustrations about how injuries have been a plague to him this spring/summer/autumn. He has even talked about stopping his career, as he himself is so frustrated.

Why does Hodgson go out pointing his finger at a player, he hardly uses - and who just had a short glimpse of succes (he was one of the absolute best in DKs team against Cyprus).
Could it be, that when you are under pressure, you find someone you can press on a little lower than yourself?
Could it be, that by doing so, Hodgson manages to take a little of the focus away from his own lack of quality.

Have you heard him air any misgivings against Kuyt, who was injured long time before the international break - just came back - and are out again until christmas - NO!! - maybe because he knows that even with his style of play, Kuyt is necessary, but Agger may not be! I think Hodgson is out in a raid against Agger to move the attention away from what he himself is to be blamed for - 6 pts. so far this season.

We need to sack Hodgson just to keep Agger.

Unfortunately IMO i can see Agger retiring early

Hang on - so what you're saying is that he's unfit to play for us, joins the Denmark squad anyway, is unfit to even train in Denmark before the Portugal game on the Friday, but he's fit to start the game 4 days later on the Tuesday? That sounds pretty ****ing miraculous to me! If that is what happened then I totally understand why Roy is pissed off. He'll have gone from being injured, to having just two training sessions at the very most (probably at low intensity following his injury) before being thrown into an international qualifier. Awful handling of an injury prone player. I'm not entirely clear whether Roy's anger is directed at the player, or the Danish FA though?

The same way Roy treated Torres then. Just back from injury and start to play him more or less in every game.
