Not defensive, just answering incorrect assumptions.

So if a player isnt playing well at one point, and i say he isnt playing well - and then, 3 years later, he has improved and i say i think he's improved - what's the problem?

Actually, to be fair to you, just browsing through a few old threads and you weren’t as agenda driven as I thought you were. You did seem to give credit when credit was due.

Maybe I’m wrong to make broad accusations based on individual arguments with me, but where I'm coming from is that during those particular arguments you were not just saying that Kuyt or Lucas just ‘weren’t playing well’, your opinion was slightly more damning than that. There is a chance you might have exaggerated your opinion of the players just to counteract my inflated opinion of them, maybe you were venting frustration after some bad results, or maybe there was nothing else to argue about that day. But that’s how it was, and I can’t help but think back to those arguments when I hear you sing their praises now. Not saying there is anything wrong with that but I can understand how some people can get frustrated when you argue from one extreme to the other.
