Hodgson arrives at Liverpool training

Under-pressure Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson arrived at the club’s Melwood training ground this morning to continue preparations for Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Manchester United.

The 63-year-old’s position has become the subject of intense speculation following Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat to Blackburn – their ninth in the Barclays Premier League this season.

However, with heavy snow falling, Hodgson drove into Melwood at 9.40am past a couple of television cameras and photographers.

The gates of the training ground were immediately closed but reopened once Hodgson had walked the short distance from his car to the building, where most of his players were already housed having already arrived earlier.

Hodgson is this afternoon due to give his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

How hard is this for the owners ? On one hand they have 90% of fans telling them the manager is ****e and must be sacked, on the other..so called proffessionals..pundits, liverpool legends no less, telling them to stick with him he'll get it right, for people who know little about the game...it's must be difficult for the owners.

I might be wrong, but I thought one of the main reasons JWH went for Liverpool was that one of the people high up in his company was a massive reds fan who flies over to a lot of games and states he loves Liverpool more then the red sox. So its not like he's totally blind, surely he has his own advisor on site

There is a wealth of knowledge available. Fans are more knowledgeable as the pundits as they always have agenda ( not that some fans don't) thebn you have genuine people associated with the club the likes of Dalglish.....then people like Tomkins who they must love for his stat bashing.
