Lets be honest, Rafa bought a couple quality world class players.... but it took him buying about 90 useless players to find them!

Who are these 90 useless players he bought?

instead of selling 5-10 ordinary players and bringing in 5-10 ordinary players he should have brought in 2 top players for the same amount of money. The squad was way too big and filled with ****e. Quality rather than quantity i say.

That would work, if the 5-10 ordinary players he sold had only left 2 empty spaces in the squad.

At £19.4 for one season and with what he gave us/or didn't give us fofr that matter, do you think Aqua was a good signing for LFC?

2 goals and 6 assists in 13 starts wasn't a bad return. Give him 26 starts this year and that's possibly 4 goals and 12 assists. Probably more than Lucas, Poulen and Meireles will get between them. Already scored for Juve this year.

So who would you have bought for left back then? That's the point you're missing - there were voids in the squad which needed filling.

All the Italian players play in Italy anyway, by Rossi. So that point about being in Italy is useless. The current Italian squad boats De Rossi, Pirlo, Marchisio and Montolivio as its main central midfielders. Of that list all those players are worth at least the same as Aquilani. If we go back to the 2008/2009 season when Aquilani was last fit for the national squad Pirlo would be included. Montolivio would be the only one worth less and he is a holding midfielder who was arguably Italy's only decent player at the World Cup.

Go back to Euro 2008 and Aquilani featured in the starting 11 in the absence of Pirlo. Going sa far back as 2006 when Italy were world champions and Aquilani was too young and other midfielders such as Perotta were also there. Following 2006 until the Euro's it is very hard to break into a World Cup wininng squad where the majority of their players are at the top of their game. Aquilani still managed to break into the team by 2008.

After that period as he was becoming a key player he got injured.... Enough proof?

And i think you know that its common knowledge that foreign players in likes of Italy/Germany/Spain get priority rather than players playing outside there national country. So common knowledge or fact, well lets do the stats on it. How many players on the German national team play outside Germany? Ozil went to Madrid so there's one. This applies to the Spanish and Italian national teams, i'm just too lazy to go through the players.

Rafa was a very good manager, but there are managers who have a knack of finding players with potential to fill specific voids at a low price and bedding them into the team. Moyes for exampe. Rafa wasn't one of these managers, just wasn't one of his traits. unfortunately due to our circumstances, it was something that was increasingly necessary.

Moyes has'nt done it at a big club where these low price buys are expected to perform to a higher level week in week out...it's such a huge difference that imo always gets underestimated.

Moyes Everton have suffered dips in form as much as any side...it just gets ignored....still not won at Anfield ever..although Roy may help on that score.

Haha what? Nothing about palming anything off, Does it not make sense to you that if we didn't spend so much money in other areas and on over priced, sub standard players in other areas that we would have "more money" to buy a CB?

In the circumstances, they were good signings. Fernandinho asked which powerful big CB you'd have signed for £1.5m and you couldnt answer - that in itself shows you how hard it would've been to find one. Same goes for an Argentine international with top level european experience, for free.

As for your second paragraph - it's not what you said though, is it?

You said if Reina played for Madrid or Barcelona (oblivious of the fact that he DID play for Barca earlier in his career, no doubt) he would have more caps. This is nothing more than an opinion - which you presented as fact.
