Yeah I doubt I'll ever shift my position entirely, unless he wins us the title

I hope he keeps the seat warm for someone better and gets us some good results while he's here. Unless we have a spectacular nosedive, I think he's here until the summer. Ultimately he's not NESV's man and I can't think of any current incumbent who has survived a takeover. Sooner or later they'll get their own man, but in the meantime it'd be superb if Hodgson could repair his relationship with the fans, get some results and leave with a bit of dignity and his glittering reputation intact.

well I guess that if the team are now winning every game they play and have just beaten the champions without conceding a goal against one of the most fluid attacking forces in europe then maybe he beleives that its not the right time to change the manager.

After this If Liverpool carry on winning and we are in the top four at Christmas it would be pretty unjust to sack Roy.

Hard to argue with any of that.
Roy has pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the performance and result today. Long may it continue. Long term I'd see him leaving but if he can keep the wins coming then it is hard to see a real reason for removing him until the summer.

Should be interesting to see how we play now with 4 wins on the bounce, confidence high, the team ands the manager seem to be finding their way, Torres clearly back on form and some impressive performances from unlikely candidates. A few more wins and we are really back in business. Well done Roy

I went to that game last year when we lost. and we were ****ing awful.

I dont think we are capable of being as bad......and wigan are truly wank.

Well I wouldn't argue with that albeit this was friday so unless JH is a clairvoyant (or super optimist)he wouldn't have known we would win today.

What I was really wondering was whether anyone else had seen this and where it had originally come from.

Credit where credit is due, 4 wins on the bounce now - not been the best football to watch sometimes but we got the results we needed.

I still look at Roy as a caretaker for a long term appointment and I can't see my opinion on that changing, but things have certainly improved over the past few games.
