In the case of Carragher there's no smoke without fire IMO. I'd be happy to see the back of him to be honest, this level of player power can only damage the club.

My opinion - there's a lot of circumstantial evidence, which I think points to Carragher being involved in making decisions surrounding the direction of the club. To a lesser extent helping remove Rafa and then making it known he was keen on Hodgson. Of course I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

The whole 2 year contract extension was a funny one - a reward for job done? Rushed through before NESV signed on the dotted line? Purslow's last footballing decision at LFC...

If they influenced the selection of Hodgson and Dalglish was in the mix then does it not mean that they favoured Hodgson over Dalglish, and therefore in effect played a part in Dalglish not getting the job?

I'm not saying that's what happened but is it not the logical deduction from what you were told?

It indicates a different attitude. Of course it's not a smoking gun but it's also not nothing at all (or, the same thing, "internet rumour" which is what you're suddenly and persistently trying to paint it as).

FWIW worth I agree with whoever said (I think it may have been you) that there's no need to get rid of him, it just needs a manager who is good enough to manage him (and Gerrard).
