I usually can't be bothered reading the articles tbh as they don't tell me more than I can learn from reading posaters' own views written here but I would like to know if they're being published by the mainstream media or are simply the blogs of disgruntled fans.

    Cheers.

      Oh dear......

When I heard the stories of that meeting I started to get my hopes up Roy would get the bullet. Then I had the misfortune to read John Henrys question and answer session on Rawk by E-Mail.

Whilst the majority of answers are extremely encouraging, question 17 makes me want to throw up. If anyone can see him getting the boot after reading it then fair play. I live in hope, but I lack faith NESV have a clue at this stage of how bad Roy really is. I reckon they bought into the mantra that it was all Rafas fault and poor old Hodgo can't be expected to do much better.......

      The piece I refer to:

17.* Over recent years we have started to see some of our best players leave the club.* Are you planning to work to keep Fernando Torres at the club?

The club has gone through a very difficult period and the period has not ended.* We’ve dealt with baseball players and race car drivers at the highest level.* LFC also have players at the highest level.* These players all want the same things.* They want to win.* It’s up to us to build a winner going forward.* It’s up to them to determine to win now.* We saw a certain team on the field against Chelsea last week that showed what they can do.* We also know how competitive the EPL is this year.* There are no guaranteed matches any longer for any club.* This club can be better.* Blaming the manager or any one particular player is simply wrong.* This club needs to play up to their potential every match.* If they don’t, they won’t win.

That being said, we have work to do and must invest in this club to improve it on the field.* Can that be successfully done in January?* A number of people I’ve talked with doubt it.* Most people seem to think it will be the summer before we can really begin to improve.* So the players – all eleven each week – have to be on the same page every match and have to live up to the history and respect this club has engendered – no matter what.

I’ve met with a number of our players and had private discussions with some of them.* I’ve been greatly impressed by them personally.* They are all exceptionally bright and they all want to be here.* The question they have had, rightfully so, is whether or not the club is going to go in the right direction.* They all want to see that.* I have been very forthright about our philosophy and about what we are going to try to achieve.* Some would prefer a quick fix.* Others prefer to focus on the long-term and that is very difficult for most players.* But, as I wrote previously, this club needs everyone on the same page every day.* Every day.* We need everyone focused on what needs to be done in the next match facing us and during that match.* The club should not have to settle for less.* As one insightful player told me, “The spirit of the side needs to be there like a family – as one.”
      Forwards.......

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

“When you come to Stoke you know you are in for a battle whoever you are. We did our best to deal with it and their first goal was a bit unfortunate. If we had been less creative Pepe (Reina) would have kicked the ball as far down field as he possibly could, not thrown it to Paul Konchesky and try to build from the back.

“They pressurised Paul well, from the ensuing back pass Pepe couldn’t get his kick away and they scored from the long throw which ensued.”

i guess if there were some green shoots of progress then maybe, but as you say I havent seen Liverpool play so badly in my lifetime, and that includes the Sounness era.

the capitulation against Northampton was absolutely unforgiveable and we have failed to control one single match all season, which means where I havent felt nervous about the result up to the last couple of minutes.

Thats how bad things have got.

Have to say I am not worried in the slightest by those comments nor his comments of the previous week

I'll also not be holding my breath for a major influx of quality in January. That said, due to prices of players increased then and because it takes players time to settle, I never really expected much then anyway.

But a change of manager is a must and I just can't see it happening. I'm only sharing my thoughts, I hope to god I'm proved VERY wrong.

                  Yep

I keep saying if I could sympathise or empathise with the tactics then I might hold off

But I cant they just baffle me in boxing terms our tactics are like walking in the ring against Mike Tyson putting your guard down and waggling your chin in his direction

Maybe I'm Reading too much into all this. But he seems to be defending Hodgson in his comments. Whilst I didn't expect him to have a go, he could have chose to not refer to the manager if a change was on the agenda.

Does he not look slightly daft, if after defending the manager he then goes and sacks him? It wouldn't bother me, I'd be over the moon, but to me his comments indicate Roy until the summer. And maybe beyond.

While scratching it like a simpleton trying to look thoughtful.

We'll get in a couple of decent players in January

Roy wont be here much longer though

Not within the context of a club like LFC, no.

I think some of us are reading different books, never mind not reading from the same page.

He'll look no dafter than a chairman who gives the vote of confidence to a manager and then sacks him a week later

NESV and co are on to Roy do not worry
