That simply won't happen as long as Gerrard and Carragher play for us. The first thing Mourinho did was to get rid of Raul and Guti. That meant that he got total control something that wouldn't have happened if they had stayed.

We are in the same situation. A new manager must get rid of both Carragher and Gerrard and he must be allowed to do it to show that he is THE boss and no one else.

They categorically stated, with great delight, on Monday night that we have 'improved' and are 'closer'. They said at this point last season we were 13 points off the top, while this year we (at the time) were 10 points off the top.

Who are they trying to kid? All that means is the top teams have got worse. This is out of our control.

Overall we are 5 points worse off than at this stage last season, and 16 points worse off than the season before.

In terms of away from, this season it looks like this:

P9 W1 D2 L6....5 points.

After 17 games last season, our away record looked like this:

P8 W3 D1 L4....10 points.

So we're twice as bad away from home for a start.

Hodgson has made us worse in every respect. Points, goals scored, goals conceded, goal difference etc. But Gray and 'Keysy' reckon we're better.
