Ngog is a good player but his experiment playing upfront with Torres have been failures to date. I haven't seen anything to state that they could play as a partnership. Would you play him on the left just for the sake of it?

Anyhow, Dodgson seem to be having a plan B, which is stick Meireles on the right, put Gerrard in CM and play Ngog in a slightly withdrawn role behind Torres. He tried this as a plan A but it never worked. Make of that what you will.
    Are we winning?

To be fair, this is a tough place to go and get a win. We didn't play well, but few teams manage that against these thugs. This will boost our confidence and hopefully the players will start believing again.

Another three points in the bag, nice to see we're out of the relegation zone and only a few points from 4th place so we should all just relax a bit and enjoy the win.

Clearly the euphoria of the late win is clouding your judgement. Don't get carried away. I'm viewing the last tow results as wins despite Roy. He could win the next 5 and still not be good enough.

              Thought we were lucky today

              Poor performance, poor tactics

Someone needs to wake up the old duffer in the dug out he seems to be sleeping through 99% of the game

Get ****ing in!!! Bolton were dirty thugs in this game and we got nothing from the ref. But the lads stuck with it. Nando and Stevie should have scored earlier, but a lovely flick from Nando to set up Maxi. They have a good home record Bolton, that's a crucial three points for us on a weekend that Spuds and City lost. Delighted mostly for all those away fans today. Players seemed well chuffed at the end too, except Nando who looks like he is sulking. Get in Red Men!

Hopefully the surprise of an away win will help Roy realise he's at a bg club and a winning mentality is required.
The thing is I think exactly the opposite is likely to happen. Roy will take a result which is both average and lucky (and against average opposition) as a sign that his reactive, crap tactics can work.

After I managed to have a reasonable amount of hope last week that Roy was learning lessons about what is needed at LFC, todays game has started to reduce that feeling again.

Again we dont press the ball high up the pitch enough

                            We concede ground

Again the much maligned Torres does a bit of magic to rescue a result

We were ****ing dire, a good team would have ****ed us over comfortably

The last two results have changed nothing imo Hodgson still should go the tactics are abysmal, the manager is like a statue watching the game he looks hopelessly out of his depth
I agree with every thing you said Lecter but with two wins on the bounce (Bolton is a difficult place to get a result) it does show that we're starting to turn things around. A few weeks ago we would've lost this game.imo.

I want Roy gone but I he's definitely bought more time. He can afford to lose against Chelsea and still have a job. I can see him being here right through till xmas now.

We were lucky though, on another day we would've done had one of their chances gone in 2nd half
