I want Roy gone but I he's definitely bought more time. He can afford to lose against Chelsea and still have a job. I can see him being here right through till xmas now.
    God I hope not.

Jesus H. Christ. Is this the post match Liverpool forum? I must have been watching a different game because I think we just won a hard fought match? Some of you need to start watching football again and forget about concentrating all your efforts on the manager. At least start supporting the team!

a win. still look poor. even if roy keeps improving its still not going to be a great end product. still will defend too deep and concede possession.

still needs to go. however he might be showing he can get results just not in the way i would like to watch to be honest.

not a cunt just a man whose methods are out of date for a club that wants to achieve what we want to.

As someone has said earlier though he reverted to type which means he'll again use these tactics and feel justified in doing so...

I think we all know where the folly of that tactic ends

After I managed to have a reasonable amount of hope last week that Roy was learning lessons about what is needed at LFC, todays game has started to reduce that feeling again.
Absolutely. I can imagine the old fool stating in his game interview that the hard work and good solid tactics slowly but steadily paying off and that we are turning a corner.

We're supporting the team to state that this manager isn't good enough. By thinking he's good enough will just leave him long enough in the manager's seat for him to piss off our best players. Then, he's disrespectful to us fans and for that alone the sooner he pisses off the better it is.
                  Are we winning?

                    wrong quote?

anyways, not about hodgson at all...it's just that all the doom and gloom of us being 18th can be put behind us now, and we might actually concentrate on football.

                    and yeah we're 5 points off 4th and 8 points off 2nd

What gets me is both how close and poor the league has been this year. With a few better decisions at the top I really think we could be challenging. In the long run though you can't see us consistently repeating the trick of edging these away games if we keep playing as we are.

Bolton isn't the easiest place to go but equally they haven't beaten us in over 20 attempts I think I heard on the radio so it certainly shouldn't be a fixture we fear.

We are watching the game and we can see how ineptly set up it is, how we don't play to our strength's, how the manager is both unpleasant, arrogant, ignorant and insulting (and possibly a liar), how with a better set up, we could have not only won that game but won it comfortably, how worried we are that Roy will be allowed to spend in January, how Roy is negatively affecting our attacking play and how the fact that with Roy at the helm we have long term serious problems as he drags the team down and he could even worse by dismantling the good players we have in the team to replace them with his awful choices (it is no coincidence that Konchesky and Poulsen are our worst players and are both worse than Aquilani and Insua).

No, I'm just sick of talking about ****ing managers. Rafa, Roy whoever. At this point I'm going to watch games, get behind the team, scream and shout, celebrate when we win, get pissed when we lose, and not thinking about what implications what has on someone elses job.

I want us to win, end of. I don't give a **** what implications that has for Hodgson. I want us to get back to the Champions league so excuse me for wanted my football team to win. Every Liverpool fan on here who also want us to win, is also tarred with wanting Hodgson to stay. For the ****ing record I don't want Hodgson to stay, just like I didn't want Rafa to stay at the end. But I always wanted the team to win, no matter what. Because I support Liverpool Football Club, not Liverpool 'Who's the manager' Club. Why is it always a ****ing agenda.

Not great, but good to see Lucas control the midfield again when given the responsibility to do so. Rarely wasted the ball and was always looking to receive it. Excellent performance. Against lesser opposition I actually wouldn't mind seeing him and Gerrard there as Lucas can sit deep breaking up play, and is also good enough to release Gerrard and those ahead of him quickly if the space is there.

Good to see Maxi score also, predicted it in the match thread. Looked much more threatening when switched left (although maybe coincidence) and no surprise him and Lucas were usually involved in most of our best passages of play involving crisp first time passing.

Skrtel and Soto impressed at the back, although this was always gonna be a game made for them.

Roy still has to go though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
