After I managed to have a reasonable amount of hope last week that Roy was learning lessons about what is needed at LFC, todays game has started to reduce that feeling again.
This is the main reason why I'm pretty down about Roy being our manager. This game wasn't hard fought, it was uninspired. We just managed to carve out a decent opportunity which despite trying his hardest to miss Maxi just got it in, although I'm glad to see him put in a really good shift today because he's definitely capable of it - just that finish was poor.

There's nothing to suggest that we have the ability to consistently get results or can play decent football at all. I'm genuinely quite concerned. Especially if we're giving him money to spend in January, I'm imagining more uninspiring signings like Meireles, Konchesky, Poulsen and Jones.

I want us to win, end of. I don't give a **** what implications that has for Hodgson. I want us to get back to the Champions league so excuse me for wanted my football team to win. Every Liverpool fan on here who also want us to win, is also tarred with wanting Hodgson to stay. For the ****ing record I don't want Hodgson to stay, just like I didn't want Rafa to stay at the end. But I always wanted the team to win, no matter what. Because I support Liverpool Football Club, not Liverpool 'Who's the manager' Club. Why is it always a ****ing agenda.
That's not gonna happen with Hodgson here

Fair enough. I'm off to celebrate the football team winning. Just like the players and the fans in the away end did. Sorry if that doesn't fit with some agenda we're all supposed to have.

                Played well.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Meireles i think is a very good player, just not at right mid..

Against lesser opposition I actually wouldn't mind seeing him and Gerrard there as Lucas can sit deep breaking up play, and is also good enough to release Gerrard and those ahead of him quickly if the space is there.

Good to see Maxi score also, predicted it in the match thread. Looked much more threatening when switched left (although maybe coincidence) and no surprise him and Lucas were usually involved in most of our best passages of play involving crisp first time passing.

Skrtel and Soto impressed at the back, although this was always gonna be a game made for them.

Roy still has to go though.
I thought when Gerrard moved back into midfield we looked better going forward BUT we gave away a lot more freekicks because the holding player and the defence became more stretched because Gerrrad is no longer a tough tackling midfielder he lets people run off him and past him which causes defensive problems

It is not an agenda, it is a fear for the long term future of the club under a manager who is stuck in the 70's and wants to drag our playing style to that era (and not the 70's Liverpool playing style). He is a liability and can do serious damage to us.

Good win and a good feeling, but I hate the fact that the pleasure in every win is soured by the prospect of Hodgson gloating.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The longer he is here the more long term damage to the club he will do and the more time and money it will cost any future manager trying to get us back to the top
