I know how you feel Slinky, i've been utterly utterly furious of late, and no amount of (genuinely valid) calming words from others on here, has calmed me down.

I think we all just want a team that we can be proud of.

In 2008-2009 we had that, i know there's point harping back to the past all the time but i watched on this day two years ago on LFC earlier today - it was Bolton v Lpool at the Reebok, we won 2-0 that day and we battered them all over the pitch. We're a long way from that now, yes we don't have players now that we had then, yes we have a different manager and yes we have a team that's morale has been shot to pieces for the best part of 18 months. How the **** do we go about changing all that tho?

That's the main question here? New manager for sure, i don't think any Liverpool fan would say anything differently there but it's fair to say we need to see big changes in terms of players going and more importantly coming.

It's a **** time to be a Liverpool fan, we're a very loyal and dedicated bunch but with the new Owners coming in alot will be expected of them and it's up to them to come up with the goods. Asap.

Like I said right after the chill pill pic. I more or less agree with it all just don't see the point in ranting about it tbh. The side has played pretty bad for around a season and a half so of course it pisses me off. It's **** to watch and it puts me a **** mood when the side draws nevermind losses.

End of the day though all we can do is put our faith in the new owners and the eventual new manager to turn things around again.

That thread title is pathetic. Somebody change it please, its a ****ing eyesore and it doesn't belong on a Liverpool supporters forum

It was originally titled "****ing sick of this ****" however a mod has changed it, so blame them!

It's getting shortened all the time. I think we should just cut to the chase and call it "Tired". Neil Young would be able to contribute then.

Beginning of the 2008-2009 season was when I first started to really follow Liverpool rather then just being a fan of the league, and let me say from experience if I was a glory hunter it would have been Chelsea and United. Without doubt, all my mates started picking teams then and if you ask any of us we would have said Chelsea and United without even thinking Liverpool. Mind you its different over here we don't get much Europe news and we only really hear about who wins. Nonetheless picking Liverpool was no glory hunting.

On another note, seeing our results lately I might start following Chelsea

I imagine you were drawn to the reds because of Nando's boyish good looks and the fact that we also had the greatest Australian player of his generation (on the payroll and the treatment table at least).

I'm far from a superfan, but what winds me up more than our lack of recent success is all the bitching about it as if its a right. I was very downbeat during the G&H era due to the lurch away from "the liverpool way", success comes and goes but I always had the fall back solace that LFC was LFC. We're getting back to that way again and with that I have renewed patience with our performances.

Part of what I believe lead to the arrival of G&H was whinging ****s who lacked the patinece to value David Moores for what he was, many still can't see it now and that winds me up. The vast majority of football fans support their team decade after decade without ever winning anything and yo uhave to respect that, so to come on here now after the last 4 or 5 years and suddenly have had enough realy grinds my gears, it's a symptom of people just not getting what drew me to the club in the first place and I find that far more worrying long term than our current footballing situation. If we can be Liverpool the football will fall into place. I remember Kluivert and co playing us off the park for Barcelona a few years ago, back when we felt giddy and undeserving at being on the same pitch as them, did we bitch and moan or start booing our own? Did we ****, we gave Barca a standing ovation for the lesson. That's Liverpool!

                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Agree. That attitude is what undermined Benitez to an extent and gave the board the power to get rid.

Fans who expected us to outperform clubs with better squads and more resources just because we are LFC. And if we didn't then it was the manager's fault. Benitez for the most part had us playing above ourselves yet some fans could never see it.
