So no Aurelio on Sunday. Lennon and Hutton will shred us into pieces.

            Hodgson - Aurelio important

Fabio Aurelio has a key role to play in the rest of Liverpool's season, according to manager Roy Hodgson.

The Brazilian left-back impressed his boss after making his comeback from an Achilles injury as a substitute in last Saturday's 3-0 victory over West Ham United.

Aurelio, who was released by the Reds in the summer before Hodgson re-signed the former Valencia player, came on to play on the left of midfield.

And the Anfield chief has told the 31-year-old he may be deployed in a more advanced position in the coming weeks.

            Option
"Fabio's had to work very hard because he's been dogged by bad luck for the last couple of years," he told The Liverpool Echo.

"It was nice to see him back on the field again and he played with great confidence.

"He can definitely play as a left midfielder.

"When we re-signed him we were thinking we needed two good left-backs at the club and that he'd be competing for one of those places in the team, but I saw him do very well in Trabzonspor when he moved up into midfield, and he tells me that when he was in Valencia he played in midfield very often.

"It's definitely an option. If he can stay fit then it could be a really good boost to our team.

"Already I've got him penciled in for the game against Steaua Bucharest, so let's hope he can stay fit until then and I can see him in a 90-minute game."

The only positive that I can think is that if Spurs go with Lennon and Bale wide then they are quite a traditional 4-4-2 with genuine wide players. As such if our DM drops deep as Roy seems to prefer we will be almost a 5-3-2 which can work quite well (i.e. we have to hope that Johnson pushes Bale back and then the rely on having more players in midfield to win possession).

The obvious problem being Konchesky and the fact we don't really have a functioning pairing to put in attack.

So essentially we will probably be ****ed any way.

I personally think we will do ok on the left. If GJ gets the help from Lucas and Kuyt and if we force Bale inside we'll do fine.

On the other hand, Maxi is not as good as Kuyt defensively so Konk will be really exposed.

I must be one of the few that isn't too worried about Sunday then. Spurs always struggle after a CL game, they have played plenty of high profile games recently and alot of them will be tired. It will be a close game, I don't know what the outcome will be but I know quite a few of their players will struggle to match the fitness of our team who will be fresh and ready

If we we sit back we'll be murdered. We have to go at spurs, put them under pressure and they'll crack. Sit back and admire them, we'll lose 3 or 4 nil.

I don't think they'll have any trouble with a champions league hangover. I think the hangover is more pyscological than physical and they'll have no problem motivating themselves to play us rather than wigwam or wolves.

I'd be very pleased with a draw.

Bangkok's a great place for replica shirts. I always have big orders from friends all over the UK for replica shirts of various clubs whenever I go there.

The best quality ones are to be found in the night market in Patpong Road in the Silom district. The ones I've got there are indistinguishable from the £40-50 ones in the shops in the UK and cost about 400 Baht (450 Baht with a name and/or number) - roughly equivalent to £8 (£9 with name/number). They always ask for a lot more than that, but the prices I've mentioned are the real going rate so you wouldn't have to pay more than that if you tell them you're aware of the proper rate

I really dont see how on earth we can avoid defeat here, its nothing to do with them being amazing because they're not. But they are a decent team and we'll set up for the 0-0 like Hodgson does in every single away game he plays whether its Man Utd or Crawley.

It wouldnt be so bad if we were loaded with pace but we arent so sitting so deep just means we can never get out like at Stoke, like at Wigan, like at Birmingham, like at Man City etc, we get stuck in our own half until the opposition score or if we're lucky Reina bails us out time and time again like at Birmingham. Until this man has gone I have absolutely no faith in getting anything from any away game.
