Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has pledged his long-term future to the club and is relishing the chance to play under Kenny Dalglish.
Agger, 26, has been strongly linked with a move to Malaga and Fiorentina, but he is determined to stay at Anfield and help the club challenge in the top half of the table again.
The Danish defender has already held talks with Dalglish over his future and is fully committed to the Merseyside club.
Agger’s agent Per Steffensen admits there has been interest in Agger but has ruled out any chance of him leaving Liverpool in January.
Steffensen said: “Kenny Dalglish thinks a lot about Daniel and has made that clear to him in a meeting.”

          Great news

Now lets hope he can stay fit...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

**** news. Sell him asap. He'll never stay fit for long enough and his absence will continuously cock up any consistency in the back four. When fit he'd get in most teams, but he just isn't fit for long enough.

I'd rather have someone with 90% of Aggers ability who's fit most of the season than Agger fit for a couple of months. Its unsettling and brings too many problems.

              GET SHOT.

This is actually not far off. People talk about a settled back four but want Agger to be part of that? Not going to happen, it's as likely as Aurellio staying fit all season.

Don't be a cock, I know its hard.

If we had a half decent replacement for Agger, we would benefit from having a settled back four for once instead of this constant chopping and changing needed because Aggers got a bad back again. Its getting ****ing tedious now.

Sell him, move on. Kewell mark 2.

It is getting a bit annoying now, the last time he was really good for us was 2006/2007 season. He's not looking great when he plays and is hardly ever fit enough to play anyway. We definitely need someone more reliable.

I don't know, i still think, hope, there will come a time where he has a few seasons relatively injury free, he would'nt be the only player to suffer in such a way during their early career only to come good as they age.

Then again, he could end up being a Woodgate, King or Anderton too.

It's about him and us realising what he's capable of, and managing it, a contract to suit, and he could still play a big part in any success we have if it has to be that way, hopefully he'll put regular injury behind him though.
