Its a complete turnaround, inline with the owners downsizing the whole LFC project.
2. Nothing wrong with the loan market, could be very smart to do so, bring in players on decent wages without a transfer fee to try and get us back into the top 4 without the risk of the signing on cost
Sides wanting to progress and be at the top do not resort to the loan market. These are players that have long historys of injury, bad attitudes, poor form and being past their sell by dates.
3. I think just putting the word in bold says it all
FSG will make money out of Liverpool over the long term and quite a bit but it will come down to us being successful, they'll know and understand this and at present I see no reason to doubt what they've been doing.
I personally think these 2 issues highlight the fact that FSG do not want to invest heavily in the club, they've accepted that they are unable to have us competing for the top and have therefore decided to maintain our current position on a far smaller budget.
My opinion of course but there we go.
mine too of course. We'll get together in 5 years time and see who was right

Because Baseball doesn't have salary cap which would be somewhat similar to FFP rules, which they said it many times will be the business model they embraced for L4.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostThe idea that top sides don't use the loan market is demonstrably false.
If we can get the same attendance as we would with a new stadium for under half the cost isn't that worthwhile for now?
FSG have shown they'll invest in the Red Sox, why wouldn't they with us?
Also they are much more familiar with running baseball club then running a football club and after last year market fiasco they will be very cautious on spending any large sums of money going forward.
I see them as serious investors and imo they will continue improving the bottom line by cutting the cost (wages) and deadweight first and will invest at some point to make us competitive but I don't see that this year.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

None of them is really a valid reference point right now. We aren't in their league, financially or, given the CL, literally.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostAye, both players had positive effects for us.
I mean it is not Man United would loan in someone in is it, or AC Milan, or Juventus or Real Madrid
Oh wait, you were being sarky, weren't you?
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Agger is not a deadweight we should be rewarding our top stars if we want to progress and attract top talent."All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

I couldn't agree more.Originally posted by souliv View PostAgger is not a deadweight we should be rewarding our top stars if we want to progress and attract top talent.
In fact I'd go further and do everything we can to re-sign Skrtel and Suarez long term.
Keep Skrtel and Agger and our back 4 are sorted for while.
Re-sign Suarez and you have building block for top team in not so distant future if we decide to spend some money and surround him with quality players at some point.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
