FSG are really starting to worry me selling your best players is not the way to go why can't they inject more money if they want the club to be successful"All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

Agger is invaluable to the squad, he is not only the best defender at the club but is an excellant leader, certainly the best at organising those around him in an effective fashion.
Having said that i can see the other side of the coin, 25 mil is alot of money for a player who has a bad injury record, we don't appear to have alot now-a-days, it would also allow Coates a proper chance at making the starting line up.
i am definitely an advocate of the former opinion, he should be kept at all costs and rewarded for his loyalty, he gets how the game should be played and he gets LFC as well as a local lad does!Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Newcastle wont pay thatOriginally posted by danperkins View PostSurely taking a hit and selling Carroll (who is unwanted by Rogers) to Newcastle for 17 million ish, is a much better idea of selling Agge full stop? Raise some funds and keep our best players, easy stuff

Hopefully they have a get out plan before the value of their 'investment' reaches crisis point."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Does anyone know if they put an offer in, if so what price? To be fair after the abominable signings of last year or so, you can't blame FSG for tightening or closing the purse strings. Although in saying that though selling Agger is madness. Rather take massiev hot on Carroll & selling Spearing & DowningOriginally posted by Lecter View PostNewcastle wont pay thatLast edited by danperkins; 08-08-12, 01:53 PM.

I understand that logic, but if we are too cautious this summer the gap between us and the top 4 is only going to get bigger.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Posti think any manager may be asked to show he can be shrewd and not waste all our money before they grant access to that sort of money again.

I read 13m payable after this season and no loan feeOriginally posted by danperkins View PostDoes anyone know if they put an offer in, if so what price? If we need £20m that badly, then surely there's clubs who would give us some poke for Downing, Adam and Spearing. Possibly Henderson too if we're bringing in Allen.
