We need a squad with depth and quality for when we have injuries or a loss of form. Selling Agger weakens the squad. Selling him in Jan would make no sense.

      i'm torn

i really liker agger - seem's a great pro, and he is a classy centre half, but he's 29 and he's injury prone and we also are in a situation with too many cb's.

For me - especially if we get into europe, you need 2 players for each position - so four cb's. However they all can't play each week so you can't have 4 '1st teamers'

Sakho - clearly, at his age and price paid has to be no.1 cb

so it's find someone to partner him as the first choice. And that will be either Skrtel or Agger.

Toure offers experienced cover - and come next season, hopefully we have Wisdom back after a successful loan spell to give us a good young option coming through.

We should not even entertain a loan.

Ideally i'd keep till the summer - we need as many good players as possible for this season.

If there is a big offer in january - £15m - then fair enough take it.

I'd then assess the situation in the summer.

We should not be selling any first team players this window. Even if agger only plays one game after Christmas, if he's needed and we pick up 3 points, it's potentially worth it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I like our CB options as they are - Skrtel or Kolo right side and Sakho or Agger left. I'd ideally keep hold of him until the summer. In the long run I think we can operate with 3 senior CBs + Kelly and Wisom. I suppose there are valid questions about Toure as a long term option though.

Keep him. Loaning him would be a diabolittle decision. Selling him nearly as bad. So long as he's happy to stay and fight for his place we should keep him! It's not like we'd get a huge fee for him anyway. In a year or so's time Illori should be really to take over for him, but until then we really need him here.

              I think we'll easily get £12+.

Awesome, if we haggle we might get it up to a £20 note.

What was the reputed player + cash deal from City that was reported recently?

Micah Richards and John Guidetti + cash for Agger.

I'd bite City's arm off if that is true, especially with the constant rumours of Johnson leaving for Spain at the end of the season.

Guidetti hasn't had a look in but scored a shedload when on loan a few years back.

Given the firepower City have got its a weird one that he hasn't gone on loan elsewhere at the very least.

Just checked his stats, did very well @ Feyenoord a couple of seasons ago. As you've said strange he's not gone out on loan again.

That's right. Unless the cash is £12m+, it's a no for me.

Swap one injury prone player for another? No thanks.

It take Richards, but they can keep Guidetti and give us more £££.
