i didnt know either.

i know we raved about him and there was then a perception he wasnt pushing on as expected. then it all went a bit quiet.

You would hope that BR at least wants to see him.

I think he has played as well as anyone in the two pre-season games and seemed to be a catalyst in making things happen. On paper with his background, he appears to be a good fit for Rodger's style, further with the proposed 4-3-3 formation he finally has formation that suits his style.

Does anyone believe he can turn it around and live up to some of his early career hype?

Yep, I think he can genuinely make an impact in the first team squad this season. He is an unknown quantity to most PL defenders and could do some damage playing out wide left. More damage than Downing could ever dream of.

The problem with Pacheco is he lacks an end product -he always has and in 3/4 years of being at the club, he has not shown any improvement in that area. He has looked very good so far but he is lacking that one thing which is vital to player who plays in his position.

Don't even bother mentioning Downing - he is just gutless, hopeless and probably lannless

It was only pre-season but he did have an assist last night, feinted like he was only making space to shoot and laying a lovely ball to Adam. Interesting to see how he performs on Saturday when hopefully playing with forwards with better movement.

Its hard to judge pacheco on pre-season form. It will be seeing him in competitive games where we really see if hes good enough. I'm not sure he can cut it at that level but I really hope he proves me wrong.

Pacheco had pretty good pre-season so far but he will have very difficult task of breaking and staying in the first team squad.

Encouraged by his recent performances but due to that very same reason I don't see him having a future with us.

I expect to see us to loan him out again and the concern will be again if we can find him a club that will feature him and play him as that really didn't happen for almost 2 years in a row.
