It amazes me anyone could defend him.
When, ever have 99% of Liverpool fans been so utterly disenchanted in them and disintersted in the teams results?

I class myself as an obsessive Liverpool fan, season ticket for 20+ years, been all over Europe, for christs sake my daughters middle names are Stephanie and Samantha after our early 2000's team. Ive got a 6ft Liverbird on my office wall and a very nice tatoo on my back. I got married on International weekend so id never miss a match (the wife didnt know) and yes I backed Rafa to the hilt, and even at the end Ive got to say I thought he could do no wrong as the quote goes, also though its worth pointing out that I backed Souness and thought he was sacked too soon, I also though Ged should have been given more time so I am not by any stretch a man who is unaware of 'The Liverpool way'

But this man is ruining football for me. Never have I been so disinterested in watching Liverpool, never have I not celebrated goals like this season and never ever ever have I ever had this small feeling in the back of my mind thinking 'well if we lose in wont be a bad thing, at least hell be nearer to the sack' or at the very least the ******s in the media will see him for what he is, an old ****ing fraud.

Glad it gave you the opportunity to go off on one again, but I never mentioned "The Liverpool Way". I'm talking about the way I was brought up as a fan. Players deserve support and new managers need time to get the team playing the way they want - then they can live or die based on their success of lack of it. We used to laugh as a nation at the likes of Italy and Spain, sacking managers before Autumn was out.

The thing is for this theory to work there has to be something to believe in

The thing is I have NEVER previously called for a manager to go Houllier I gave right till the final few months (even when I knew he was being sacked) and I never called for Rafa nor Roy

I've always given them time but I believed in their systems, tactics, ethos or them as a person

I dont believe in anything that Hodgson does in fact I have utter contempt for everything he does

Name me one counterattacking team that's won the league in the last, oh, I dunno, 50 years.

Now I never called for Rafa's head as far as I can remember and after backing Hodgson initially I want him gone, but what I have suggested time and time again is that this group of players over this season and the whole of last season have not shown passion, pride, movement, teamwork, creativity, aggression for the two managers we have had.

I also wonder if, after coming so close when we finished second, that that destroyed some of our players in that they just thought, 'it's never going to happen is it' along with H&G not giving the right amount of funds the following season to build on a great season.

As for possession stats or stats in general I really couldn't give a **** apart from the only one that counts, goals we've scored against goals the opposition have scored and if ours is greater than theirs then I'm happy which goes with the Liverpool Way of winning, i believe.

As for all the possession this squad had last season they still lost a hell of a lot of games and finished seventh which was nowhere good enough.

Last year for whatever reason they were awful, maybe they did want Rafa gone

But Roy was brought in to turn this around

He hasnt done it, in fact if anything hes made matters worse

We know that the players are capable of more and I truley believe that a better coach would get that back in a heart beat

The thing I keep saying is that the club has been fractured for years

The fans and the manager have been at war with the board and now we have the board sorted we have a manager who is despised by the vast majority of fans

For the sake of the club FSG should push him aside and bring in someone who will galvanise the support on the terraces behind him and inspire the players

The Liverpool Way has always been a symbiotic relationship the fans the manager the players the board all moving in one direction. Its like an orchestra with all the various sections blending together to make a symphony. Unfortunately Hodgson is tone death and couldnt play a note

You simply cannot blame the players for the formation. Barcelone would be **** if Roy was there manager. Last night gave new meaning to the word deep. Its been piss piss poor when we let teams have the ball in their own half and wait and wait last night we defended another 20 yards inside our own half before we thought to press.

Was it because Carra wasnt playing to push us out???

Anyway, I hope Carra was sat at home watching the dog**** performanace maybe now hell know how 99% of us feel.

And Rowan, **** me, good for you to know training is having some effect, ****ing hell Anfield will have about 5000 in it in 12 months if training carries on having the 'effect' and players get more 'comfortable' with what were trying to do.

Why doesnt one of our 'esteemed' ex-players who were so quick to jump on Rafa's back come out and tell the truth instead of glossing over the obvious clear ****.

Went to my first game in 75, started going regularly in 77 and had a season ticket since 80 (although due to work commitments hardly use it these days)

This is the worst football I have seen played by a Liverpool team

Its ultra negative, hoof ball, its small time club mentality at a major institution and above all we have a deceitful fraud as a manager

Its probably because I am so upset with myself for being like this I can write it down and it its good to get it off my chest with like minded people. Lec, I agree with pretty much enerything you say mate.

Wife isnt complaining though, no more mood swings when we win/lose, just the same monotone answer when she asks me how the match is going or how the matchwent.......

We score and I cheer and then 10 minutes later she comes in and finds out the opposition have equalised or are winning. its ****ing dire
