It was an absolute stupidity to loan him for nothing and I personally think he could have made it (needed a chance to play regularly) but we will never know for sure.

Looks like eaxctly what we're missing (altho he'd have noone to play those through-balls to under Bodge's 4-6-0 formation).
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Ok, does anyone know if there is a binding agreement in place to sell him if Juventus meet a stipulated amount (I'm sure I read 12 mil)? Because 12 million for him would be daylight robbery.

I'd love to see him back. If not, he shouldn't go for a penny less than 20 million. He's proven that he's amongst the very best midfielders in Seria A. And the style of play that he has, I think he'll get better and better over the next couple of years.

To be fair I don't think he ever had the heart to play for us, it seemed like any excuse was good enough not to play. A runny nose, bad stomach, he used all the old schoolboy excuses.

Still absolutely mad to loan him out though and then pay money to the same club for Poulsen.

It's totally up to Juventus if they want him or not. The transfer fee is already agreed. If they pay that then we can do nothing about it.

Hopefully mistakes like this are part of an old regime, or maybe even personal agendas, either way..hopefully it would'nt be allowed to happen under a more savvy lfc.

To be fair, if he were here under Hodgson, he would be stifled like the rest of our players with any level of creativity. And when we get a new manager in the summer he would probably have looked at his two seasons here and judged him a flop, and sold him on the cheap. At least being out on loan and performing well means we'll get a decent fee for him, perhaps that can be one small consolation.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

But it's not. The fee has already been agreed and it is daylight robbery. He's worth well more than £12M.
