Indeed Craig. No one complained of motivation when we came back against Milan, orWest Ham. Or when we kept pegging Arsenal back in the 4-4. Or when we had a right go at the Bridge with key players missing only to draw 4-4. Etc, etc......
    Forwards.......

I fail to see how anyone with even a modicum of sense & an i.q over 50 cannot see, and admit, that the financial constraints placed on benitez were hugely restrictive. That was my point. I know all too well that he made some strange decisions and im not defending them here, however dont you post a response that my mentally challenged neighbour could have come up with and take the high ground you utter tosspot.
Firstly, you've got the wrong man, I didn't say anything like he was rubbish. And you have also completely missed the point. Even when you take the financial restrictions into account, he picked his players poorly in the last year or two, imo. That was the point.

Deciding to pretend that the past 6 months of non-stop Rafa discussion hadn't happened, and pulling the 'financial restrictions' rabbit out of the hat like you've just discovered your own prostate, well did you really expect a meaningful response?

Pull your neck in and think of another innovative line of argument. Maybe you could remind us that he won the European Cup, because I'm sure we've all ignored that when forming an opinion too.

Missing my point here completely. His re-appointment would not be welcome by all the players IMO. We know some of them were glad to see the back of him, so how would he motivate them or work with them again??

Look like they've been done by the same person.

That's a fair point, but i honestly think, after having had to work with Bodger and suffer the consequences of ****e that come with it, the re-emergence of a CL winning manager who delivered a genuine title challenge, even if it IS Rafa who they may not have seen 100% eye to eye with, would still be viewed more positively than negatively by most.

But laughable as it may seem, I actually get the impression that the majority of players (Nando apart) enjoy working under the Bodge and believe it will eventually come good.

Wasn't Paco one the persons that fell out with Rafa, and the reason he left us? Not sure I remember it correctly, might be confusing it with someone else.
