Thanjk you.

We were undone by a dodgy penalty decision and a moment of stupidity from our captain. We looked very comfortable for long stretches with 10 men. Kelly was immense.
Torres remains a worry. Gave us no outlet to relieve the pressure. He was slow to react, second to everything, and knocked off the ball too easily.
Merieles also showed a worrying lack of bottle for the fight, but may have just had an off day.
Plenty of reasons for optimism though.
Sums it up for me really.
Torres looked lively and up for it though. Ran himself into the ground, see how he does over the coming games.
Meireles............. Lacked bottle against Everton in the derby and lacked bottle in the game today as well. In less heated contests he looks a tidy player, but really needs to man up more.
Losing Gerrard is a blow, would have loved him and Torres to get the old magic back over the next few games.
As for overall impressions, we were the better team until Stevie got sent off, so first impressions are positive.
I'm having a barney with a manc who claims to be a level 4 ref, he is insistent that it was a pen, everyone else is wrong but him and Howard Webb are right.

Luckily she doesn't and besides she's back in Paris at the moment and she's in a mood right now because I told her to ring me later as I was watching the King's first game back in charge

Wow! One more level qualifies him for a glass of red wine!

I thought he was pretty poor again today, short on confidence and poor first touch, even when we had 11 he didnt offer a great deal IMO
Meireles, I've defended him already, it did look like Rafael was going in to snap his ankle.
Also its his first season in this league, big difference between here and Portugal lets give him the benefit of the doubt here.
Meireles is also one of our best ball players, although today he was off the pace again I wouldn't come down on any player at the moment its a fresh start for everyone and they will alll need a little time to readjust.
The last thing we want now is scape goats, Kenny will make the right decisions.
