i think this all smells of a takeover, dirty tricks board members taking sides leaked news, projecting the image of unrest, there are a lot of traditionalist within Liverpool football that don't want change at any cost including some fans i guess, just a theory.

That's a good point. I did find it strange that he had an exclusive interview with ITV.

Media witch hunt, not in my book it isn't.
I don't believe we suffer more than the other top clubs in the media.

Its clear by his body language SG is unhappy playing RM all the time. Did he have a row with Rafa, who knows. As for the stuff in the week, one of our directors clearly went to the press, so they are bound to follow up the story.

Also why would the southern based media be so ante LFC? Surely a more obvious target would be Man U. They are clearly more of a threat than us this season so it would make sense for them to be the target.

You seriously expect the press to be anti-united?

What gets me is that the papers will run this "transfer exclusive" that will basically say that Real are prepared to pay £30,000,000 for his services if Stevie becomes available and that the offer may be to tempting to turn down for all people concerned if the differences aren't resolved by the end of the season. Which is a long way off!!

I don't think that it'll be anything ground shattering but it could prove to be disruptive.

There may have been a disagreememnt about Stevie playing on the right but I can guarantee you that managers and players up and down the country have disagreements all the time. I think you would call it a storm in a tea cup under normal circumstances but because of the previous stories with Steve the press decide to make out to be more than it is.

One of our directors went to the press.................. did he????

the easiest cover up to write................lets say a director gave us this exclusive..........that will rock the boat (AND SELL NEWSPAPERS)

me thinks a wannabe director trying to rock the boat

have you noticed that the seats at anfield tend to be in red rows?
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

I don't think that Fridays "exclusive" was anything to do with Steve Morgan. That story was definitely from within the club and I'm certain that we haven't heard the last of it.

                            Exactly.

You'd never ever see a story about a bust up between a Utd manager and an English footballer who he played out on the right wing even though his preference was to play centrally .......... oh wait

Why target the manager and then start rumors of Stevie moving to Madrid?

The story was never about Beckham playing on the right but that Fergiscum hit him in the face with a boot.
