Gerrard won't leave. It's a whispering campaign started by those past masters at it Real Madrid.

However if SG does decide to leave for some god forsaken reason then so be it. We've wasted far too much time in the last 3 years talking about him and will-he-won't-he that it really isn't worth it any more.

We have to take it on face value and that is that SG said he'd never leave and never put the club through this transfer crap again.

This Matt Lawton fella, reckons Rafa was trying to manufacture a move to Madrid for Gerrard back in summer 2005, and obviously didn't want him going to Chelsea, and when that looked to ne his destination, they did what they could to keep him.

However he doesn't think he's going to leave, so what the bugger is all this about then ?????

Basically focusing solely on our away performances, and about how Rafa isn't close to his players.

If we get investment that goes into the team it might actually be a good thing if he goes. Much as I hate to admit it the focus on Ste Gerrard is unhealthy for the club i think.

Thing is tho, it does appear that Rafa has settled on his midfield 2, since that summer of 2005 which doesn't include Stevie G. However he only got Sissoko by chance, so what where his plans before he got him?

It's fish wives prattling. They've got as much idea as we have. The difference is that they get paid for the ****e and supposition that they come out with.

                  FFS how many times:

                  Reina
                  Riise
                  Carra
                  Finnan
                  Alonso
                  Gerrard
                  Sissoko
                  Kuyt
                  All start nearly every match
Agger/Hyypia is not too much of a problem, Aggers injury hasn't helped matters
Crouch/Bellamy also up for discussion but I see no harm with 3 main strikers
And left wing is also but we seem to have a problem there

So those 3 positions that rotate are such a big problem?

Based on the 10 league games...

                  Reina 10/10
                  Finnan 9/10
                  Sami 8/10
                  Carra 7/10 (Injuries)
                  Riise 7/10 (Injuries)

                  Gerrard 10/10
                  Alonso 9/10
                  Momo 8/10 (Injuries)

After that its a mixture of everyone else.

Thus 3 positions are rotated whereas apart from injuries 8 positions in league games haven't been.

Rafa has just been reported on 5 live as saying it's bull****, there is no rift and we "intend to keep him for this year, and for a lot of years".

"he is very focused on moving the club forward".

That's comprehensively blown that story out the water then.

The press are morons. Today one of them says we wanted to sell Gerrard to Madrid and not Chelsea, a few months ago one of the idiots was saying that the only reason why we didnt sell him to Chelsea is because they refused to bid anywhere near our £30m asking price
