Why is it rash? It's a fact he was out for 2 years when he was younger. It's a fact that that he keeps getting injured.Originally posted by rcasemore View Post
If you've done your hamstring you've done your hamstring.
He has had similar problems as Gerrard in terms of growing pains which have hindered him at that age.
After that he's had a groin injury and a hamstring injury, most likely through having to be over played at his age.
Look at players like Giggs & Gerrard at a similar age for injuries
I had growing pains as a youngster and they happen after you have a growth spurt. Your muscles are loose and when you suddenly grow, the muscles don't grow that much. They tend to get stretched as you grow and tighten up. It's very painful and you tend to get very bad muscle pains/spasms in your lower back. Hamstring strains are not growing pains
. And besides, He's been 6ft plus for well over years now so I'm guessing he stopped growing years ago
Giggs injury problems were down to his posture and not "growing pains".My kebab comes with chilli sauce

Who said the hamstring was growing pains!(I did!!) Fact of the matter is his body is still developing much the same as Gerrards was and Giggs hence the niggles and injurues - injuries such as these can be due to several different reasons the obvious one is he's played too much and pulled it but other factors from the body can have effects on other areas you wouldn't think are conected.Originally posted by saj View PostWhy is it rash? He's had 2 muscle related injuries since he's broken into the first team which is most likely down to being over played and him still developing as I said look at other players like Gerrard who are similar frames they had issues with muscle injuries as well.

With Kelly out and Aurelio almost fit, it might be time to go back to wingbacks 3-5-2 with Johnson and Aurelio playing wide.
Carragher, Agger and Skrtel are fine centrally. Plenty of central cover with Kyrgiakos and Wilson. Meireles, Lucas, Gerrard central with Suarez/Carroll up top. Very strong side.
Plenty on the bench too with Cole, Maxi, Ngog etc if we need to mix things up.

I think thats a good shout to be honest - fits quite well with what we'll have available for the run in.Originally posted by Johnny H View PostWith Kelly out and Aurelio almost fit, it might be time to go back to wingbacks 3-5-2 with Johnson and Aurelio playing wide.

Another option is Carragher LB and Johnson RB which to me makes more sense than the other way around.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI think the options are either:- Aurelio LB & Johnson RB
- Wilson LB & Johnson RB
- Johnson LB & Carragher RB
I expect to see all 3 before the end of the season, I would prefer the first one but Aurelio is unlikely to be fit that often. I'd expect the 3rd option for the bigger games and perhaps the second option for some of the others.
Agger at LB shouldn't be considered IMO unless we are desperate.

I thought the same, I didn't list is as an option as it always seems to be the case that when Crragher and Johnson are the fullbacks it's Carragher at RB and Johnson at LB. I don't see this changing.
Carragher played a season or two at LB around 2001. I would imagine that Johnson is better attacking on the right than the left whilst Carragher doesn't offer much going forward on either side, Personally I would have thought that it would have been more beneficial to have Johnson playing in his favoured position. But that's not how things have been working out.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I used to think Carragher was better at LB than RB. These days he seems to be more influenced by his preference for the position in his performances. He should be an invaluable asset as an experienced defender who can play all along the back line but he is merely a valuable one as he occasionally appears to not fancy certain positions.
That said it is always dangerous to try to interpret peoples intentions from outside. Either way I don't think we will be seeing Carragher at left back any time soon."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

For a change, i have to agree with you.(well to an extent)Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI worry about a Wilson a lot though his defensive positioning is very poor, his tackling has been poor and for a ball playing CB, his use of the ball is also very poor.

He's clearly not comfortable at left back and it's still way too early too write him off but what worries me more than anything is how lightweight he looks.
I know he's only 19 but even still he's all skin and bone and gets knocked over far too easily.

Terrible about Kelly, wish him a speedy recovery anyways and he can come back even stronger next season. As regards LB, Wilson and Agger aren't ideal but for me Agger is the lesser of two evils. Sure Agger looks uncomfortable there and on occasion has been exposed but Wilson has looked god awful.
Pace, positioning and everything else has been terrible from the lad. Looks woefully out of his depth there and IMO we should avoid playing him at all costs and bed him in slowly next season in a more central role to suit his attributes, that's if he is going to be a future LFC player.

It's Flanagan, dudeOriginally posted by Mostar View PostAny possibilities of seeing youngsters Flannigan and Robinson entering the rotation?
- but yes i think he'll be ready to make the step up to the first team next season.
Robinson on the other hand, i'm not so sure about. Doesn't convince me tbh but i'm not writing him off or anything.
