Personally I go after Enrique or Baines as our realistic first choice LB targets (if we would have money to burn Coentrao or Cissokho) and Taiwo (signed pre-contract with Benfica though) or Wendt as our back up options (Insua could be considered as well as 2nd choice LB).
Don't know much about those two will have a look.

Realistically Enrique is possible, not sure if Taiwo has signed a pre contract or not with Benfica?

Obviously I want to see Coentrao or Cissokho but won't be cheap

My god what a ridiculous amount of our wage bill wasted on utter dog turd.

All of them need to be moved on in the Summer inc. Joe Cole.

What makes it worse is that it makes them harder to get rid of. The level of clubs that are might be interested in our dross just wont be able to afford their wages. We'll have to pay them off or continue paying a portion of their wages (like Leeds had to when they got relegated) until the end of their contracts.

Was that a worse summer of transfer dealings than 2002?

We could potentially have a big problem with them.

We got the offer for Jova for 6m () from Wolfsburg and it failed cause he couldn't agree the personal terms.

2 possibly 3 (Jova, Poulsen and maybe Cole) may not move anywhere until their contract is up.

                  Which one?
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

With regards Ashley Young, i'm continually stumped at how certain Liverpool fans are of the opinion he isn't good enough for us or wouldn't be an improvement on what we already have - are they having a laugh?

                        Pace - check
                        Goal threat - check
Can deliver a cross - check
Can play right and left wing - check

Just how on earth would he NOT be a good signing? If there's one player we're crying out for, it's Ashley Young.

Put Young and Adam into the Liverpool midfield and we'd be much, much stronger.

8 goals and 8 assists from 29 games this season.

                          Impressive.

I think he might be useful. i don't think he is worth more than about £8m and I think we would have to pay double that or more. He has pace but he has rarely shown he can use it under pressure. His recent England performances have been an improvement but his club form has been average at best.

Most of his productivity comes from set pieces rather than open play.

To my mind there is a very real chance that in a year we would be wondering why we paid so much money for another squad filler. At the minute he would provide some of the things lacking from the team, but to my mind none of the key ones - i.e. ability to control or run a game. If we had a strong spine then like other players of a similar level like Riera or Downing then he might well do a good job and finish a team. As it is I think he would be an over expensive luxury.

I think that those changes would = midtable and leave us with the same squad depth problem and Warnock is ****ing ****.

If we want to get back in the CL, then quite simply we need CL level investment and CL quality players.
