No one is saying two wrongs do make a right are they? Just pointing out the media hypocrisy. But who needs them to hammer Suarez when some of our own will.

Real shame to see some buying in to the bandwagon.

      Who's hammering him?
      *Except Michael, who died.

I think the kick to the chest of Parker while obviously a sore one I don't think was deliberate, he was trying to volley a dropping ball. The poke in the eye I have no idea what is happening there, it's very difficult to tell from a still image and I didn't see it in the match last night.

People are obviously making an issue of this because it's Suarez, there was some awful behaviour from some of the Spurs players yesterday, such as Bale's diving, but no-one seems to be mentioning that
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't see Suarez being hammered, am I missing something

Nobody is hammering Suarez, he can be his own worst enemy and it's important that he keeps his head. We all know Parker is a tetchy ****er & can be dirty too, but a kick like that is not good regardless, especially in his first game back after what has gone on when the spotlight is well and truly on him & the club.

I think that's the point people are trying to make, the focus is on Suarez right now, everyone is waiting for something to happen so they can blow it out of all proportion. Important that the only thing people talk about if his performances.

It's clear to everyone he didn't intend to kick Parker in the ribs, don't know what the problem is.

He would have to be ****ing stupid if he did intend too.

Exactly, he was clearly thinking/hoping the ball was about to drop and he could volley it, you can see all that by the timing of it.

SSN are ridiculous, "Suarez kicked and pushed Parker", "Dalglish calls Bale a diver after he's mauled by Skrtel" etc yet no mention of their antics or the reason why Kenny thought Bale was feigning injury. Parker should not have been on that pitch to get kicked and Bale could easily have walked aswell.

Man Utd will be loving Saturday, any leg breaking attempt on our players will be let off with no comment or "It's Liverpools fault for ramping up the tension" while we wont be allowed to even win the ball from them.

The problem is people are just looking for any excuse, better he doesn't get involved in incidents like that to give them that excuse. He definitely didn't mean it although it was very clumsy & could have turned out a lot worse.

What i was thinking was that, obviously the reaction Suarez is going to get at Old Trafford will be one of the most hostile ones any player has ever had to face. "If" he comes on as a sub, surely that will just give the mancs the perfect opportunity & platform to abuse him & the media will jump all over that? Clearly he will get booed on the ball but, if he starts the surely the reaction won't seem as severe, as oppose to coming on as an individual? Then again if he starts, he won't finish the 90 mins so he'll get booed on the way off, but he may have scored in the game at that point too

In any case it's going to be a pot boiler, some one is going to have to have a word with Suarez and make sure he keeps his cool no matter what happens, we don't need more bad press!! If there's going to be some controversy, much rather the headline "Luis Suarez scores a hat trick at Old Trafford"
Didn't he give Parker a little nudge first though in an attempt to put him off. ?

Clumsy but accidental, **** happens all the time.

completely agree, just bad timing with what has gone on.

looked that way but IMO his eyes were firmly fixed on the ball, clumsy no doubts and looked bad in slow mo, but completely unintentional for me.

IMO It was a wild /over excited swing from a player desperate to make an impact on the game. Would have been headline stuff Suarez scoring on his first game back after all the stuff that has gone on, i think him storming down the tunnel after the game, was a bit of an insight into how disappointed he was with not taking the chances he had.

Of course it's media hypocrisy, but that really helps little is what I'm saying. We or Suarez can't excuse himself with that if he does something stupid/controversial.

And nodoby is hammering him, or at least I can't see who is? I know the "some" really is a nice avoidable way to say you, but my point was merely that it will get focus right now no matter how big or small, and he needs to control his temper now.

It's not the first time he is in focus for something controversial, and if he keeps going on like that he is going to be his own worst enemy when the focus is constantly on him.
