I'm not making any sweeping statements. I'm pointing out how farcical the media reporting is.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostSo you're making sweeping generalisations about all Liverpool fans based upon media coverage? Nice.
Jesus, I take a few months break from this place and nothing changes. Everybody reads anything and everything into every word you say unless you write like a mathematician!

But again how many of them committed serious offencesOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostIt's not just Ferguson - countless have been "warned about their future conduct", offended again and not been subject to "totting up". Pulis, Allardyce, Brown, Benitez, Rooney, Cattermole, Ferdinand etc. It just never applies. Except we're told it does now
I liken Fergies referee rants to forgetting to take back your library book multiple times. You get fined but they dont increase the fines provided you take the book back
Suarez's discretions like it or not are far more serious and to me the only one that stands comparison is Barton
That said I do think the FA should standardise the punishmentBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Let's face it, football people tend to be a bit dim.

Looks like he definitely wants to leave.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostTraining this morning

I have to admit, I love the guy. I believe he will stay. He'll give that turd RVP a 6 game head start and still end up top scorer next season
Alternatively, his agent has just set up a deal for him to go to Bayern and that's why he is happy

Tend to agree to an extent. Why follow a league week in week out that isn't played on a level playing field. It's a pointless exerciseOriginally posted by Leyton388 View PostTell you what if we do not appeal this and he does leave in the summer due to being hounded out the country i'll be finished with football altogether. It will show how spineless the club are and how one sided and corrupt the FA are.

I was finished by the time I was 21 or 22, so have had time to educate myself to a small degreeBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I imagine many of us are in the same boat - if there was a button we could press to turn football off, we would. I would anyway. Problem is it's in me, and has been for as long as I can remember. I can't just suddenly banish it from my life. Not gonna happen. This season I've watched precious little football, other than us of course. Where once I would've sat down to watch any old football match on TV, I'm not really arsed about any other football any more, bar LFC and the business end of the CL. The rest is ****e, the game is a predictable and uncompetitive sham - a closed shop run by incompetent and maybe even corrupt, bigoted old men.Originally posted by Sarb View PostTend to agree to an extent. Haha...The FA responded to my email:
Dear Ali,
Thank you for contacting the Football Association.
Luis Suarez has been suspended for a total of 10 matches after an Independent Regulatory Commission yesterday ruled on a charge of violent conduct.
A three-person Independent Regulatory Commission today upheld The FA’s claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three. The suspension begins with immediate effect.
This follows an incident with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday’s fixture at Anfield (21 April 2013)-----------------------------------------------
'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'

Massive changes are needed in football governance but just like many governments that run countries few are interested in changing things for the better and most are just interested in maintaining the status quo and getting their share of the spoilsOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI imagine many of us are in the same boat - if there was a button we could press to turn football off, we would. Yeah. I agree with all that. I got rid of Sky and regardless of how many times I say I'm not fussed about one of our games and not going to check the score or watch, I still do. It's a tough one. It's so badly run it's untrue. The way Suarez gets treated is so blatantly ridiculous. The punishments dished out etc. We won't ever get anywhere with the FA. They are as corrupt as fcuk.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI imagine many of us are in the same boat - if there was a button we could press to turn football off, we would. I would anyway.
