If they specifically wanted a Black comedian, for whatever reason, they should've booked Stephen K Amos who is a million times funnier
He is gay so the PFA wouldn't approve.

      Bi-sexual

But you're right, should've thought of that

...he'd fit right in with Rooney then, he'd buy anything sexual...

Comedy thankfully is an acquired taste, total agreement of hilarity should never be reached.

The fact is Bale has been one of the most outstanding players in the league this season, so while you can argue that Suarez has been better, it’s a matter of opinion.

What is an utter disgrace is the booing of Suarez’s name at the event last night – I hope that ANY LFC employee present would have got up and left out of respect for Luis. Do we know if anyone was there on the club’s behalf?

For a fellow professional to boo the name of one of the game’s best players so contemptible and just goes to show that he has been made a pantomime villain by this complete circus of a sport.

Could have gone to Bale,RVP or Suarez and they would have deserved it. The booing is absolutely disgraceful and i would love for those who participated in it, to be named and shamed.

I'd like to think that somebody at the booking agency (corporates don't book the acts themselves at these shindigs) knew exactly what they were doing and wanted to maybe give the PFA a small lesson in language and context.

I like Hunter btw. Yes, he makes jokes about colour, but not in a Jo Brand fat / cake sort of way. His humour is much more intelligent and socially aware than that, often highlighting the hypocrassy and awkwardness of real life situations when race and the clashes of cultures (English / American) seem to get in the way of ordinary life. That is why I'd like to think that his booking for this event was done on purpose by somebody. It was perfect if you want to illustrate just how a point can be missed on so many levels.

              Amos is **** though.
              Oh I don't know.

From the sounds of it, he did what most black comedians do to other coloured minorites and referred to Suarez as a 'N*****'. Like when black guys call other black guys by that word/name/whatever it is.
Personally, as a fan of Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart etc, I'm not arsed about it. In fact, I think it's ****ing boss that after all the **** the FA did to Suarez over a supposedly racial slur, they book a comedian who embarrasses the **** out of them.

Apparently Hunter's gags referred to "Suarez biting n*****s". PFA officials seen falling about laughing. Hmm.

Context, or lack of doesn't come into it for the likes of the FA.

The PFA are, to all intents and purposes, a private organisation operating in football, allegedly to help its members who are 'obliged' to become members, but its clear their actions are of interest to 'the wider football community', and as such fall under the FA's microscope.

Surely, in this hyperbolic sport, there should be charges being laid at the door of the PFA (their event) by the FA for facilitating such behavior, which although private, clearly extends into 'the wider football community'.

Iro the bit on bold, that is exactly why the booking of Hunter was so brilliantly ironic. The FA may not allow for context with racial language (although they do seem to when applying other arbitary sentences), but real life does not work that way. Context is everything.
