    or

Sell him now at probably his peak value knowing that if he is involved in another incident like this he could sit out a season or 2.
    Can we have both please?
    Oh I don't know.

Maybe you could get Chris to do it for you. He seems pretty good at digging up old posts today.

I think it’s an interesting point i.e. what are we (supporters) willing to ‘put up with’ from players to ensure success? And are the rules different for someone like Suarez (who’s clearly special… in so many ways ) than a squad/mediocre player? We are quick to condemn players like Bowyer and Barton but defend Suarez because he’s ‘one of ours’ (and he’s one of the very best players in the world).

I agree that Suarez doesn’t really care about Liverpool. He’s the kind of guy that would go to Utd, if it guaranteed him success.

As for morals/morality – it’s a subject that does my head in. What’s right and what’s wrong – in life as well as on the football field? God knows.... if you believe in God... but that's another discussion
Bowyer was up for racially motivated assault, no? Barton stubbed a cigar out on someone, Chec Evans went down for rape, Ashley Cole shot someone with an airgun, John Terry smashed the **** out of some poor ****er outside a pub in fact Gerrard smashed the **** out of someone inside a pub and Suarez... Bit someone during a match. It's all about context.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

How do people come to the conclusion that Suarez is a 'cunt' because of what he's done or how he is in a competitive situation.

His team mates seem to love him, everyone who spends time with him says what a sound bloke he is, totally different to when trying to compete and win.

So i don't get how people can call him a cunt, he's just super competitive, more than most i'd say, and every now and then frustration gets the better of him. But to be fair to him, while he's nibbled at 3 people in his career, he's never been one to make leg breaking tackles, elbow opponents or generally try to harm anyone inbetween, he has a very specific problem/reaction is all, and one that does less damage than if his tendency was to react with leg breakers or elbows in faces.

            Cos it's the Internet, silly.

            Everyone's a cunt.

His description of what happened is laughable! He would have been better off admitting it for any chance of a reduced ban. Footballers really are thick.

Nope, just for members reposting articles in threads in full, about half a dozen Telegraph examples, I presume a bot searching the net for unique strings has thrown this bit of the site up as it is viewable by non members. Threats of needing licences (obviously not as it is user generated content) and requests to takedown and just link, as well as telling you all how naughty you are.

The site will of course respond to any proper and valid DMCA takedown request in a reasonable time frame, and would suggest to comply with fair use that members only post excerpts from content others create along with links to the sources, however as a non commercial, volunteer run site we cannot be reasonably expected to pro actively monitor all posts, which can ultimately only be the responsibility of those who make them.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                Mine angry and defrauded young?

Wow. I love hearing little snippets about the behind-the-scenes-stuff. I would have thought they would appreciate the free publicity, but I can't say I'm that clued up on copyright.

I have no idea why I posted it in the sanchez thread. In my defence I was on the way to Dublin zoo with my sister and her two kiddies. Ironic being on the way to the zoo

That's as bad as the Uruguayan FA saying they're going to appeal the decision based on insufficient evidence!

They want you to click through to their site so that they get their advertising income. Which is fair enough.

Ok, I just read that thread for the first time and I see what you're alluding to.

The only thing I would add is that you were the one talking about morals. Quite a lot. Nobody else was. But when people reacted to that you didn't much like it. So yeah, if you're gonna make a moral argument against something most people don't see as a moral issue (it isn't btw), then of course you'll be labelled as the moral police. It goes with the territory.
                              Oh I don't know.
