every club in the division could say the same then. This season especially, 2 points per game (home games as well) would almost have won the league so to get them in away games only would have been some effort.

I know and I understand that but I said in general, 2 pts per game away from home can help you win the league

I'm not arguing with that. There's no doubt that there's be en unbelievable turnaround since Kenny took over. He's worked miracles along with Steve Clarke.

But at the same time, i'm not gonna accept stupid comments like the Roy effect meant we lost 11 away games because that's simply not true.

no but it lost us 8 (you have to put his effect on the Blackpool game, it was only 4 days after he was sacked). Once Kenny started to change the tactics and mentality of the team, the performances improved. Going forward, even if the squad did not change, I would not expect to lose 11 again next season. Of course, we also expect an improved squad so...happy days are here again!

honestly, unless the home form was dire, 2 points per away game should have you walking the league given that any team would expcct more teams at home than away

The season we came close to winning the League in 08-09, we had 42 pts away from home.

It's been different this time around but in general, to win the League or be there or thereabouts, you should be aiming to win ~2 pts per game away.

there is a huge difference in results thoug as well as performances. Roy won 1 in 10, Kenny 4 in 9. I would say it has a hell of a lot to do with Roy.

FFS some of the nonsense here. It's VERY early days in a long project for the club. KK ain't gonna fix it in one window. If he buys well and we stay relatively injury free we'll make a reasonable fist of the top four next season IMO. It's gonna take 2 or even 3 windows before we're the real deal. Let's just enjoy the journey back to the top however long it takes. It's only a matter of time now. Good manager, good owners, great fanbase and a good crop of kids coming through.

So, you think we'd have lost 11 away games regardless of Roy do you? He didn't say Roy was the only reason, he was pointing to Hodgson being the reason the away record was poor to that degree. Bottom line is you didn't post that because you wanted to have a serious debate about it, you did it because you don't like the poster and are just dying to drop a snide little comment in against him any opportunity you get.
