Err.... perhaps looking good in pre season means **** all in reality.

People complain when we have no depth. Now that we have depth, they are unhappy once more. We just need to get rid of **** like cole and poulsen. simple. aquaman deserves another shot. beats having some joker coming down for a jog when we are trailing with 15 mins to go.

Was thinking that I'd be very surprised if Lucas doesn't make himself available for the first game, even if it means putting off holiday plans.

          a) He'd want to put the disappointment of the Copa America behind him and get back playing.

          b) He fought so hard to earn his first team status that he's unlikely to rest on his laurels with so much competition in CM this year.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think it might be more of a case of getting him back and ready for first team action. He'll be behind everyone else in terms of preseason training, we won't want to rush him through, so it could be a couple of games without him, or with him on the bench
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd imagine he's ahead of then in terms of fitness though. If he's back training next week, I see no reason why he won't start against Sunderland.

If Kenny has to realise funds to purchase a CB and/or a LB then Aqualani is probably our only saleable asset.

Aside from the brief purple patch Meireles had I'd rather see him sold. But maybe there is no interest.
I wouldn't sell an attacking creative player for the sake of our defence. We have enough at the back to get by with IMO. Not ideal but get by with until the dross you mentioned can be sold. Then spend that cash when it comes available.

Perhaps, but only time will tell if he could be a success in Kenny's brand of football. I think he can and would not take a 8 mil loss at this stage but would prefer to give him a run to see what he can do in the Prem.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We are 3 weeks away from the season opener and he'll be definitely ready for Sunderland.

                      That's just it.

I get the issues with wages and need to trim the overall wage bill but in terms of depth we are shooting ourselves in the foot if we keep J. Cole, Poulsen and other deadwood just because no club expressed any real interest in acquiring them.

We need to tell them, like we said to Jova, they are not part of plans for next year and have them look for the new club on their own or use them as make-weight for new CB and LB even at expense of splitting their wages.

They won't and cannot contribute anything to the team and having them around and selling Aquilani and Raul (I'd let him go over Aquilani any day of the week if it ever comes to that) for that matter is not imo smart piece of business in footballing terms.

felt sorry for Albert yesterday dumped in alongside the not so dynamic Cole and Poulsen, would love to see him in a four with Henderson, Adam and Downing in the next one!
                          Henderson, Downing, Adam, ?

Sell. Get what we can for him, spend it on a lb.

Aquilani should happen next week.Liverpool paying 20% of wages while on loan

Madness i say.If we cant sell him then use him.Letting him go on loan again is stupid, especially if we are paying for the privilege
