Well this is where we disagree. I think he has the ability to become a successful signing. As do plenty of others on here. Let's face it, as much as we like to kid ourselves, we're not really the most tolerant bunch. A lot of people clearly see something that you don't. He's shown glimpses of his potential when he's had a decent run in the team. He seems to have had a solid, injury free season in Italy - which was the major concern regarding him.

Even if you don't rate him - we're basically paying another club to take him off our hands for another season. If he was to be sold, that would be one thing, but a loan? We're being taken for mugs. Again.

A good player maybe, but no evidence whatsoever that he can be good in the PL and considering we have plenty of CMs already, added to the fact that we wont have many matches compared to seasons when we're in europe, it makes total sense to get rid of him.

All that doesn't really matter if he doesn't want to be here but we should do what is best for the club and imo only right decision is to sell him not loan him.

If that cannot be accomplished, well he'll stay as many others that we may be forced to keep on our books with the difference that he can bring something to the squad.
