Thanjk you.

Nope but I see no need to slag the fella off and his achievements, he did wonders for the team after the post Souness and Evans years, and he did a remarkable job getting us to were he did. He nearly won us the premiership one year as well as his trophy haul, just unfortunately he didn't know when to jack it in with us, and he'd taken us as far as he could.
That was the problem, he stayed to long. I just wonder what Rafa would have done with the cash Ged had.
It is not an attack on him personally but at his managerial skills
Evans signed Murphy who was not the worst player to play for us at that time.

I know but not many would just walk away would they, he wanted to do right by the club, but in truth he'd done all he could. At the end of the day the board had to make the decision, and they made the right one, can't blame Ged for that.
Lampard has 5 goals and 4 assists already in the prem this season that's 2 less goals and 2 more assists than our entire strike force - he's consistently one of the highest scoring players over the last 3 seasons so my guess is Murphy would take that comparison as a compliment.
How many of Lampard's goals were from open play? This is a genuine query as every time I see him score it seems to be a badly-hit free kick from just outside the box that hits at least two players on it's zig-zagging way to trickle apologetically into the nest. I'm pretty sure he's got at least one penalty as well
those marauding runs by jimmy carter onto david speedie.....those were the days
I saw Jimmy Carter's debut for us at Villa away. He had a very quiet game, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, being his first game. It soon became apparent that it was probably his best performance for us! Absolutely useless, quite appallingly bad.
Also while people are berating Houllier, we spent £500k on Traore. That's nothing in the modern transfer market. We also made a 400% profit on him. How can you scoff at that? He also played the entire Champions League final and made one godlike clearance off the line. Don't let facts get in the way of a good failry baseless rant though.

What % did we lose on Cheyrou, Diao, Diouf and Heskey? And whilst you are there look at the NET loss which I believe on this lot is something like £20M. I think Traore is the ONLY player Houllier bought that we made any money on.

Aye, but he also bough Hyypia, Riise, Hammann, Finnan etc etc, who we haven't needed to make money on as they have were a)quality so b)stayed in the team.
Every manager makes bad signings ffs.

It's the old rose tinted glasses (or in his case **** smeared)

Rashidiot - it's history, it cannot be changed and it's been done to death - move on.
We're the sort of club that buys players to win trophys, I don't think any of our managers since Shankly has made a net proffit of transfers, perhaps Rashid is confusing Liverpool with Crewe Alexander?
The likes of Murphy, Heskey, Smicer and Biscan all helped us win a bagful of cups.

As well as that, is it not something that runs through the top league clubs tho, how often does a top league club make a profit on player really (excusing Vierra cos that was odd). Think about it:
You buy a group of players, you keep the best and sell the ones who can't make it, how likely is it you're going to make a profit on a player who couldn't make it.
Profits are made by the smaller clubs who are unable to hold onto their best players and are snapped up by the top clubs.
We can make a profit if you want we'd just have to sell the likes of Alonso and Sissoko. You have to take chances in the market, if we didn't we wouldn't have paid 10 mil for Alonso.
