As for Stevie, in his prime or what should be his prime worry for his future so i do. A magnificent talent, IMO on his day the best all round footballer in the world (along with Essien who seen to be struggling of late too) but be great to see him back firing.

True enough, Suarez does so much work i'd worry his legs might feel it during the winter months of the season. I would have loved to get that "marquee" signing or game changer as you say but i suppose we are not in a position to attract certain players.

Everytime Suarez goes down injured or takes a knock, i get that feeling of dread.

I think that the main reason to why we want Bellamy is that he could replace Suarez. I doubt that Stevie will ever get back to anything even close to his best. It is several years since Gerrard performed week in week out. He is still a good player but no one can surely expect him to dominate the way he used to.

In 2008/09 he was outstanding mate, even 09/10 he got 9 goals and 7 assists. Last season fair enough, he wasn't great but injuries have scuppered him IMO. The guy has been carrying us on his shoulders for so long, bound to have an effect on his legs eventually.

But you could be right, i hope you're not but i can't see him dominating like he used to. Terrible shame as he was an immense talent.

I think Bolton are a very dangerous side, we need to make Anfield a fortress this season.

If we want to make a good run of things this season, our home form has to be solid & with other big games going on, 3 points even if it's early in the season could be vital come the end.

I expect them to use Davies a lot against Carra. He is our weak link in defence.

Davies vs Carra is a massive worry. Actually Davies against most defenders is a massive worry, guy is a beast. Very underrated IMO, nothing silky about him and is a dirty git but very effective player.

Davies and Klasnic could hurt us if we are not careful and yes Davies is a big threat.

I wish Carroll could learn a thing or two from watching of how he's positioning himself against the defenders before the high balls find him and how he is guarding, controling and passing them to his teammates.

i suppose Carroll will learn with time. What gets me about Carroll is that he is such a big lad but hasn't seem to grasp how to use he's attributes properly. Plus Carroll seems to fall over very easily. I like Klasnic, decent lad and could definitely cause issues.

You see that is the thing that I don't get about Carroll.

He is strong, tall, looks very physical type of a player and yet he finds himself on the ground pretty easily in lot of aerial challenges.

In terms of Klasnic, he is not even close to the player he used to be before he lost his kidney but can still play decent enough to produce the moments of brilliance like the goal against MCFC last week.
