The thing I like best is that we just didn't sit back on a one goal lead and try to close out the game. Attack is the best form of defence against the journeymen.

Skrtel played very well though. Say what you want but I always thought he was fairly comfortable with the ball.

Skrtel is very under-rated with the ball at his feet. He was very assured in midweek, and the penalty tainted what was a pretty sound performance. Today he was very good at both ends of the pitch in what is an extremely unfamiliar role.

Yeah he gets much further forward than Xabi. He's been really impressive but...and I hate saying it cos it's a cliché already, but his influence on every game this season has waned in the second half of the 2nd half. Only 4 games though and he'll only get better.

Ha ha, I didn't even notice that. And thinking about it, you are right. Maybe that gastric band was really tightening up. He virtually disappeared after he scored. But Downing and Enrique really came alive after that point.

Excellent performance by the lads. The ref was as usual a complete idiot. You could really see that you they don't need to know the rules to be a ref in the PL. WTF was he doing when he awarded a freekick on the line of the box? The line is a part of the box so he can't award a freekick for handball on the line of the box. It is a penalty 100% of the times but as I said, you don't need to know the rules.

Happy to see the players smile, smile, smile and laugh a lot. They haven't done that since the 08/09 season. They are having fun out there.

For the first time this season I really believe that we can win the league. We are now dominating games in the same way we did with Rafa as manager.

Stoke away will be a test to see if we can dominate away from home against a team like them. I believe we will be able to do that without any doubt at all.

Carra is an accident waiting to happen. He make mistakes, big ones, in more or less every game now. Need to be replaced as soon as possible.

As I said, excellent performance but we can play even better than this and that make me smile even more.

I'd pick Skrtel at right back next game regardless who's fit. He was outstanding

i wondered when someone would have noticed that, totally agree. also, after 4 games i'm a little bewildered how many on here slag off certain players like carroll and before today henderson, when the starting gates have just opened.
they are both young players, they didn't set their transfer fee and both need all the encouragement, loyalty and support from all liverpool fans.

Bold 2: Completely fair. We need a new centre-back partnership. Carragher offers absolutely zero going forward, and is reliant on the players around him to give protection.
