i admit to being bored in the same way that i was under rafa at times yesterday, but that was just because there was nothing at stake, as the points had been wrapped up by the 60th minute, and then carroll came on and the football wasn't great to watch. it was boring. i had a hard time concentrating at that point. but i will take that every time over being despondent and frustrated in the 60th minute, and not able to see where the breakthrough is going to come from, as happened many many times in rafa's last year and under hodgson, when even victories felt hollow and worthless.

Blimey, he looks quick but I didn't realize quite to this extent.Originally posted by Mostar View PostTomkins article. Set some time aside as always
For the record, Enrique chose football over becoming an Olympic sprinter.

LOL
The response to that post on the arsenal forum
"For now. Lets see when a couple of things go against them. Its easy to play well when theres a good buzz around and everythings going right.
As for the great style I seem to remember them coming to the Emirates last week and lumping long ball after long ball at Carroll all afternoon."
Yeah the game we won 2-0 Lumping the ball up LOL

He looked very comfortable at RB didn't he! I didn't see the match so assumed that Carra had slotted in at RB and Skrtel at CB.Originally posted by Mostar View Post
That was only his 4th ever goal for us
. When you see him bang it in like that with such conviction you'd think he was a regular scorer.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was gob smacked to see him make over lapping runs, put half decent crosses in etc and he could have bagged a 2nd goal (with his feet). Quite impressed I wasOriginally posted by BigChief View PostWas really impressed with Skrtel at right back. After the foreboding of seeing him a) on the pitch and b) horror, at RB, he played it non-chanently
Definitely hope he plays there again in the next game against Stoke.

Don't know what the opposition full back and winger made of it, but he made me **** my pants when I saw him running down the channel. He's one scary mofo. Might just work in our favour if he's got skillz to boot.Originally posted by SB View PostI was gob smacked to see him make over lapping runs, put half decent crosses in etc and he could have bagged a 2nd goal (with his feet). Have not had the time to see more than extended highlights from the match, but I have to say that we looked very good in the match.
Suarez is just a fantastic player, and I'd take him over Torres any day of the week, even compared to when Torres was actually a good player. His movement and will to always be involved in the game is just incredible. Add to that his technique and you have yourself a fantastic player.
It also seemed that our midfield is really finding eachother and considering that 3 new faces are in the midfield that is quite incredible after 3 games of the season. Adams, Henderson, Downing really adds something, and then considering we still have Gerrard to come back
I think we have a good chance of getting in to the top-4 this year, and with stability and a bit of luck we are in challenge of the medals. A lot will come down to injuries, suspensions etc. between the top teams.

Only negative point is yet another silly late goal conceeded, something we need to cut out
At least this time we did it when we were 3-0 up so it didn't cost us.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
