However...what bothers me is that for £55 million we bought Henderson and Carrol. For the same money spurs have; Modric, Bale, Van der vart, Adebayor, Parker.
They would all walk into our side. When are we going to start making astute, good value signings like those?
Alonso, Reina, Agger, Enrique, Suarez etc etc.
David Bentley, Darren Bent, Gomes, Pavlyuchenko, Bassong etc etc. Please, enough of this everyone else is perfect and we are hopeless stuff.
Given how shakey our defence has been looking the last few games, what are the chances of us being linked with Cahill again in Jan?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Hopefully zero, he has been absolutely ****ing appalling this season. I still dont see what sort of defender he's meant to be, he just wanders around not doing a lot.

. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
The main problem Andy Carroll has is that he is playing in the same side as Jamie Carragher.
Carra's legs have gone, everyone knows it Adebayor made mention of it in his post match interview (not directly, said something about we knew we could run in behind) so consequently we play too deep so the distance between back to front is too stretched meaning we play too many aimless long balls which in turn cuts out the midfield and they don't have the time to get up and support let alone run in beyond.
Therefore leaving Carroll isolated which in turn make him look even worse than his performances show him to be (thought he worked his nuts off for the whole game yesterday)
When Carroll doesn't play we don't have the long option so us playing deeper isn't so much of an issue.
The solution is to not have Carra and Carroll in the same side. While in the minority with everyone fit I would be picking Carroll and playing higher.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

we should go all out to get him imo....
for me at the back, agger is a our best option but injury prone, skrtel hasn't progressed and sadly carragher is getting on and will get found out against the better forwards in the league and should be fourth choice....and coates, well it's too early to tell but i do feel that any new younger player to the league needs a bit of time
i think we should be going all out for cahill and look to have a cahill/agger partnership as first choice, coates hopefully steps up to be 3rd choice/pushing for a start and carra as 4th choice giving us some experienced cover and can come in against the lesser sides if one of the others needs a rest.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
We've had an easy start to the season, no european distraction, and are averaging 1.4 points a game, enough for 54 points. The first decent side we've played and we were mudered (before the sendings off).
All we've done is spent big, unfortunately this was a bit of a plaecebo, as we've spent the money for quality but received mediocrity.
Things are very bad. I don't think were going to see us return to the big time in many many years.
As I asked you earlier I think who are our main rivals over the course of the season to be in the top 4? I'd imagine it's going to be Utd, City, Chelsea and then us, Spurs and Arsenal for the 4th place, seems to be the general consensus amongst most fans and bookies alike.
We're still ahead of both of these sides at the moment, granted yesterday was terrible but we were 1 down up until Adam went off, from then on in it was always going to be tough plus the loss of Agger in the heart of defense.
You've decided these players are average after 5 league games! 4 of which we've been decent in and 1, the Spurs game we were woeful but also had 2 men sent off.

I think he would be a decent option and with only 6 months on his contract, we should hopefully be able to get a decent price (obviously still not cheap as he's English). Agger is injury prone, Carragher is fading, Coates is untested, and Skrtel while decent, never makes me feel comfortable, he always seems prone to moments of sheer stupidity. We need someone else IMO, and Cahill seems a decent option...

Given the fact we were pony at the weekend, our most expensive player is deemed to be a carthorse and the player with most appearances for the club is apparently ready for the knackers yard, maybe autocorrect is trying to tell us something.
