Don't be so sure - Bremen are **** hot at the moment. They've scored something like 20 goals in their last five matches. They have a new Brazilian player called Diego who is setting the Bundesliga alight, and their strikeforce are gelling and scoring at ease.
Barcelona are also under serious pressure, despite their decent start in La Liga.

Whatever about "history" in the competition, our experience in the Champions League is a huge plus. That doesn't mean we'll win it, but we can't be discounted from mounting a decent challenge.

I ask because no non-LFC fan i know thinks we stand ANY chance of winning the CL, but i think we've a fair shot.

Furthermore, the bookies dont rate us for it either.

So generally, how would you rank LFC in a 'league table' of best sides in Europe?

I'd say something like top 8 or so. What say you?
This is the truth I'm afraid.

        That's what i was saying.
I think they are a team going through a changing period and last season's CL campaign summed up the fact that they have had difficulties in finding their old dominance. They looked like utter **** against Copenhagen, and although they created chances, contrived to miss the lot of them

I acknowledge all that about Bremen, but when push comes to shove, the fact is that Barca are a far better side and will be playing at home. Of course shocks can happen, but in this particular case, Barca will rightly be favourites and i'd certainly not be rushing to bet on Bremen to avoid defeat.

Yeah, but in all honesty, looking ****e in one group games doesnt mean much IMO.

Well, I guess seeing as that particular match is a whole 4 weeks away, anything could happen yet.

                Of course it 'could'.

But you seem to be trying to put forward a case whereby Bremen not losing is the LIKELY outcome, which, if you dont mind me saying, is ridiculous

If they didn't struggle against Copenhagen this week then I must have seen a different game

Wind yer head in mate and don't try and tell me what I "seem" to be saying.
I don't mind you saying anything I say is ridiculous, quite frankly.
The facts of the debate are that you dismissed Bremen's chances rather flippantly, and I gave you my informed opinion that Bremen could give Braca a real go of it. Seems clear enough to me.

Oh FFS, it was ONE fairly meaningless game, which will have no bearing on the final outcome of their qualification.

Generally, they've been playing within themselves and winning in the CL without getting out of 2nd gear.

I'm perfectly entitled to say how your posts are coming across, whether it's intentional or not.

I'm not dismissing Bremen flippantly. You have to fall on ONE side of the debate here, either you think Barca will win, or you think they wont. I think they will. That's all.

Nothing that warrants a cyber tantrum. And for the record, isnt it meant to be my neck that you ask to be wound in?

I'd be very surprised if any side from the third batch wins it though.

what a load of ****e.......how can we be in the third batch????? we won the cup when we had troare In the team

                              Valencia
                              Inter Milan

I would say those 11 teams can win it and all have a great chance.....but whoever wins it will need a slice of luck .....there isnt a stand out team this year ....so absolutely no reason why we shouldnt win it for the sixth time

Two different matches, young livs....people who go on about those sixcrazyminutes without knowing what game they took place in, are probably clueless about LFC and football in general.
