Have absolutely no idea, wouldn't like to see him going there if im honest.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

He can play either CM role brilliantly. Granted he's not really what we need to improve our first XI, I just thought I would add his name into the hat considering Owen Hargreaves had been mentioned before of himOriginally posted by glynnrBut where would you play him ?
Most of the players that would be really improve us have been mentioned, Richards, SWP, Lennon etc
If pressed to pick one I'd take SWP. Beats players for fun and scores goals. He's wasted at Chelsea. Shame there are no gifted English left-mids out there because that's probably what we could do with most IMO.Like blood on iron

He would have played today wouldn't he, and I'm sure he'd rather fight for a place in a CL team than be playing week in - week out in a relegation dog fight with the UEFA cup thrown in for good measure.Originally posted by glynnrBut where would you play him ?
Would he and Momo not be great for away PL matches?
We would then have 3 top class d/m to rotate between 2 places each match, 120 places up for grabs between 3 players over the season, that's an average of 40 matches per season each player, which would prob be about right imo.

Yeah I think he'd be great for us, and give us real strength in depth at CM if Stevie was to play RM in the long term but I suppose only Rafa knows what the deal is there. May be a return to the centre if/when we sort RM.Originally posted by lfc4everHe would have played today wouldn't he, and I'm sure he'd rather fight for a place in a CL team than be playing week in - week out in a relegation dog fight with the UEFA cup thrown in for good measure.

Scott Parker's a good player. I'd certainly rather have him than Zenden to back up Sissoko

seriously. If we did get lennon or swp, how do you think it would affect our line up?
Could you see Benitez dropping Alonso or Momo or would stevie end up suffering more.
Personally I do believe as immense as momo can be, he would have to warm the bench and rotate with Alonso. He's young, he'll cope just fine.Me Scuzi!

There'd be nothing to stop us playing a 4-3-3 at times to accomodate all of themOriginally posted by Welhungseriously. If we did get lennon or swp, how do you think it would affect our line up?

Im a fan mayself.Originally posted by Milan_MilanI'm a fan of Milner myself, saw him play for the Barcodes at Anfield this year and had a very good first half. Played well for them recently, definitely has talent and can play on either flank.
Think O'Neill would have worked wonders with him had he of stayed there.
Think he is predominantly a left sided player though, for that reason i'd leave him for the moment.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

Originally posted by ShaggyAlonsoHe is a total beast. Commanding in the air, fast, seriously strong and built like a brick **** house, good going forward, decent on the ball. I've only seen him play about five or six times but he looks great - especially for an 18 year old.
Dunno what his best position is but I've seen him at right back and centre back for City - looks comfortable in both.
Look awesome!

Actually I think SP is a great call. I will update my opinion to either him or Richards, who looked great yesterday on MOTD in an otherwise less than impressive City performance.Originally posted by Red_PoloHe can play either CM role brilliantly.
