How's this for fixed corruption - Suarez has a 14 day period to appeal - the 14th day takes us upto and including January 3rd 2012 - meaning the 8 game ban kicks in on January 4th 2012. And when you look at the fixture list, you'll see EXACTLY why the decision was delayed until today. It wasnt because they were trying to agree a conclusion or decision, nothing was undecided. They needed to wait until today for a very specific reason, relating to that 14 day peiod - because if it had been made ONE day earlier, the ban would've kicked in from January 3rd 2012 (Man City away) - which means it would've ended one game earlier.
Guess what the 8th game is from January 4th 2012.....
Anyone wanna take a wild stab in the dark?
No chance in hell that an appeal gets this ban reduced. That would go against the obvious and most incompetently hidden agenda going.

If FA were a consistent, fair and professional organization, they would be worried about the precedent it sets. A player can cry foul about racism - no proof on TV, no witnesses to back it up - and then cause another player to be banned.
Unfortunately FA are neither consistent, nor fair, nor professional . Just like the Mascherano sending off, this will be the end of the anti racism campaign.
