I saw that on RAWK. If guilty I don't think that ban is consistant to what Rio got for missing a drugs ban (not guilty). Racism is a bigger issue in football than drugs IMO. 6 games wouldn't justify racism.

Could be exactly as it reads or could be Daglish spilling the beans with the arse cover of "see what happens"

Suarez was at Melwood today so depending on what you want to read it could mean that there is no prospect of a decision today or that he is not needed at all - either because he doesn't have to be present when an announcement is made, or because it already has.


Can somebody spill the beans so we can stop speculating!!!

It's owned by a trust who haven't a clue. They are destroying not only that paper but all of things that were held in perputity. Alan Rusbridger will destroy that paper with his own axe never mind a multimillionaire ****

To be clear the Guardian is probably the best paper in the UK (FT and Independent are also pretty good). It was intended to highlight some of the pitfalls of well intentioned but ignorant self righteousness as sterotypically displayed by one of the Guardian reading archetypes.

So a dig at a certain type of "Guardian reader" (whether they read it or not) rather than the paper itself.

Like what? What will warrant a 2-3 game ban as anything else that happend that day is normal stuff that goes on in any game up and down the land.

I think this could be part of it. Maybe they will release new guidelines or something because the first bit of the charge about "Using abusive or insulting language" is absolutely never enforced unless it is to the officials. You can have 'banter' about someones mum being whore or any direct insult and that is all fun and games?

The days of gentlemen vs players has gone, even in cricket this type of gamesmanship is tollerated if not universally accepted. So maybe there will be a statement of intent, a lesser charge and deffered punishment.
