    If this thing with Suarez hadn't happened, then I guess legions of LFC fans wouldn't have cleared their cookies in an effort to distort the result by way of multiple voting.

        You can say the same thing for any fans of any club that had players in that pool.

        Singling out LFC fans in that context was incorrect and unfair.

          True, but I guess the same is probably also true of Man Utd fans. Regardless I suspect that some fans (of any club) would try to vote multiple times, that will always be the case with these types of things.

          IMO if this poll weren't hijacked by Liverpool and Man Utd fans I suspect that van Persie would have won...

            But seriously, I was catching up on this thread today and there was a load of interesting and relevant stuff, then I read everyone getting their knickers in a twist over a Sky Sports poll. I'm sure it was all quite important at the time.

              How is a poll rigged, when Liverpool fans are voting for a liverpool player, i would certainly have voted for him regardless if i'd known about it sooner, but LFC fans have been a little preoccupied over the last couple of days! And not all of us have Sky.

              Now Sky asked us to Vote for our best player we've done that, did the result of the case influence muy vote, honestly..NO! it merely made me all the happier to see the poll posted up, so for them to now declare Suarez cannot win is pathetic, and it's just more evidence of what this club has faced....and faces moving forward.
