Evra accuses Suarez of racism

The other thing I struggle with is that in the mentality of racists I believe mixed race is below the pure black and white.
If that is so then Suarez in the eyes of racists is below Evra. Suarez could therefore not racially abuse Evra but Evra could racially abuse (as I think he has) Suarez.
But in the (possibly) racist eyes of the Panel, Evra is below Suarez as he's clearly black.

It could explain our outrage, and our apparent confidence that he'd be cleared leading up to the verdict, we maybe thought; and rightly so if that's what Evra said, that it was impossible for the FA to charge one without the other.

You've spouted this "above" and "below" referring to different races bull**** before in this thread. If I actually knew what the **** you were on about I might get offended. It reads like total nonsenseOriginally posted by JHP View PostThe other thing I struggle with is that in the mentality of racists I believe mixed race is below the pure black and white.

We didn't really have any choice though, and if Evra said that we had every right to be confident, we couldn't stop the process, we've tried to defend him obviously in this, and we've made it clear leading up to the judgment we expected him to be exonorated.Originally posted by JHP View PostBut we were niaive and expected the Panel to be fair.
But now a decision has been made, we have our chance to appeal, but ultimately what can we do but point out the very obvious inconsitencies, and how odd it is we have to wait to see how they came to their verdict, and why what Suarez said is any worse than what Evra said for him to be charged and not Evra.Last edited by Vermilion; 23-12-11, 11:08 PM.

What I dont get is why cant the FA release their full report as they have released their statement.
As nothing has been confirmed about the intent or what language it was in, does Evra think Suarez is a racist, what did Evra say back to Suarez.
Or maybe Blatter was right and it could of been settled with a handshake. As its just a missunderstanding as they dont share a common language and it came across like a google translation. Not that I think racism is not an issue it does look like the FA wanted to be seen to be doing something about it, to prove a point to FIFA
Unsprisingly I think the FA have messed this up badly. Just goes to highlight their inconsistency, telling the ref to f off is not deemed abusive language, you only deserve a 2 match ban for kicking someone for no real reason yet a 8 game ban for saying something which would not be offensive in one country but is deemed so in another. Then again you have refs giving freekicks/bookings for an offense in a game then giving a completley differenent decision for a similar incident later in the game and they never seem to get repremanded, so what do you expect
While I'm at it its also strange as theres fans of other clubs happily branding Suarez a racist yet referring to other teams and supporters as dippers, yids or I guess even Chavski or scum.

I simply don't know where to start with this...

I'll try to explain again.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostYou've spouted this "above" and "below" referring to different races bull**** before in this thread. If I actually knew what the **** you were on about I might get offended. It reads like total nonsense
Racism is the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, distinguishing it as inferior or superior to another race. Racism is therefore based on a perceived hierarchy (by racists) e.g. as practised previously in US/ South Africa, where whites are supreme (that is those with most power and authority are at the top of the racial hierarchy) but where blacks are above people of mixed race (as Suarez could be deemed due to his grandfather).
Racists see those beneath them (in their perceived hierarchy) as inferior and are therefore able to racially abuse them. Hence why society recognises racial abuse of whites over blacks but generally does not vice verse.
On the same basis blacks can be seen to abuse mixed race but mixed race (lower in the perceived hierarchy) are no more able to abuse blacks than blacks are able to abuse whites. Of course racial abuse can take place between any race but historically society/ laws have only really recognised abuse from “superior” races to “lesser” races.
This therefore leads to my point that in the way racism has generally been applied Evra could abuse Suarez but Suarez could not abuse Evra. Especially so with Evra using sudaca to Suarez.
Is that any clearer?
I sense from your comment "you might get annoyed" that you're sensing some racism on my behalf, don't waste your time thinking that, I'm not racist.

I asked McGrath a question on twitter but kept it in a friendly tone. I asked him why he didn't think Johnson could support Luis if he thinks he's innocent. I hope he will answer back but there's probably not the best changes of that happening. I just thought if I wrote to him in a friendly tone my changes of him replying would increase. It's not Rooney's attention I'm trying to get. Remember the incident a couple of years ago where Rooney replied an angry fan.
The fact that Luis used the word "negrito" and that it has that meaning it has, it's more than fair to support Luis. I would not have supported him if he called him "you black cunt" because that's imo totally unacceptable.
Merry Christmas everyone. We Danes celebrate Christmas and open our gifts at Christmas eve instead of the morning the 25th so you wont see much of me tomorrow.JUSTICE FOR THE 96!
