Why do they even have a black leadership forum anyway? It's racist and prejudicial on the basis of skin colour only. Hypocrites.

They're just looking to get into the headlines and it's worked.
The article is **** anyway, they don't even put into context that Negro is the Spanish word for Black so anyone reading would assume that Luis had basically called Patricia a N_____.
Is it perchance written by the usual Manc Graudian hack? Trying to take the shine off our emphatic win in the very competition we eliminated whiskey nose from...

It's wrong for them to jump onto the bandwagon, don't they remember the 1980's? My reaction to all of this originally was typical denial, our boy couldn't have done it. Nearly five months on and I am still totally convinced that Suarez did nothing wrong. The FA came up with the most flimsy of cases, yet the majority seemed to just accept their verdict without question.
What do the local anti-racist organisation hope to achieve with their criticism of the club? Have they actually listened to anything that's been said other than the crap they've read in the newspapers? Are they really so blind to the issues and the arguments?

Any news is good news in some peoples eyes and by coming out and talking about this puts them in the news and gives them publicity.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIt's wrong for them to jump onto the bandwagon, don't they remember the 1980's? Just another group that jumps on a bandwagon to suit their own agenda

Had a reply from the Culture Secretary which includes:
The Department understands your views as it recognises there are issues and related
concerns over the FA’s dual role in handling disciplinary matters. In our response to the
Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee football governance Inquiry, the Department
recommended among other things that the FA considers a review of the disciplinary
process that currently operates within football.
At the moment the policy-making, charging and decision-making all sit with the FA.
However, we believe there is a good case for this to be modernised with the FA continuing
to set the rules and regulation in consultation with all those with an interest, but the
charging and decision-making process handled outside of the FA, by an accountable, but
independent and separate organisation. We believe this would provide more clarity and
enable the football authorities to address disciplinary matters fairly.
The Department continue to meet with the football authorities to hear what progress they
are making. It is our belief that it is for the football authorities to determine the best way of
achieving the right changes, but Government will be a key partner in those discussions.
The authorities have until the end of February to inform the public about their proposals to
make these improvement.
Probably nothing new but confirmation that the FA process needs improvement to make it fairer. If/ when they change it's probably unlikely to get them to consider some recent high profile cases and indicate whether under the revisions a different decision may have been made, but worth a try.

I'm not sure about that. If that was right then a statement along the lines of Luis approached and saw the hand move down and believed that Evra didn't want to shake hands so he thought he would move by without fuss. In hindsight he should've held out his hand etc would've cleared him of any wrong doing and cleared the air.Originally posted by Reece View PostWell actually, I'm not convinced the club didn't "push" Suarez into saying that, but anyway
I wish the whole thing would just **** off now.

It's not surprising that the Guardian would publish this; it's manna from heaven for those dickheads.Originally posted by Phoenix06 View PostAnd now the Guardian are running it.

The Club should just ignore the **** out of these ******s. Here's the soft cunt Lee Jasper defending Dianne Abbot:

Yes.
What do the local anti-racist organisation hope to achieve with their criticism of the club?
Self and spurious issue aggrandisement. It equates to £££ from the taxpayer to fund careers.
Have they actually listened to anything that's been said other than the crap they've read in the newspapers?
No. That is not necessary. Loud, indignant complaints tend to justify juicy salaries and expenses.
Are they really so blind to the issues and the arguments?
As long as it suits their 'job' description, they are the blindest.

Anyone fancy a guess at who Mr Jasper supports?Originally posted by Phoenix06 View PostLIVERPOOL FC should issue an unreserved apology to Manchester United footballer Patrice Evra, a high-profile group of local and national black leaders has said.
An open letter delivered to the club and manager Kenny Dalglish accuses Liverpool FC of grossly mishandling the Luis Suarez row and said it has contributed to the “incitement of racism in football and the wider society”.
The group which is led by Liverpool campaigner Gloria Hyatt said LFC need to accept the findings of the FA investigation and offer an immediate and unreserved apology to Evra.
Gloria Hyatt said: “Liverpool Football Club has presided over the worst incident of racism in football seen in recent years.
“Their misguided handling of the Suarez and Evra saga has let down all of those in the city who work hard to challenge racism and to make Liverpool a better place to live for everyone.”
Lee Jasper, national human rights and equality campaigner, said: “The club, including the owners, the players and the manager need to realise the enormous damage caused by their reluctance and obdurate behaviour.
“Kenny Dalglish used to manage Celtic, he ought to know the importance of stamping out bigotry.
“The club failed the city, the nation as a whole, and in particular Britain’s black communities.
“Their abysmal lack of leadership on these issues has given a green light to racism.
“They must make urgent reparations and make a clear and unequivocal apology.”
