Maybe if he'd had 20-25 mins, he would've scored.

      10 minutes
Not disputing anything just saying that he needs to improve his game to warrant a starting place.

What do you think he brings on to our game bar being a decent threat in the air?
      Are we winning?

Pros and cons really, i used to love the 'intimate' closeness of being right at the front, but as you say the view can be dodgy for stuff over the other end.

You're always gonna be shown on tv though

He's a goal threat, he occupies defenders, both in terms of physically and mentally. He is learning to link up the play and hold it up, has a vicious shot on him and is a proven goalscorer, if the service is right.

And he's ****ing 22, what are people expecting, the finished article? Of course he has areas that need improvement.

I'm very disappointed with the result and understand your frustration but I think you've formed a slightly too depressing view of things.

We were definitely the better team yesterday.

Carroll's no more a proven goalscorer than Marcus Stewart, but to judge him on his game time yesterday is unfair.

Nah, i think Andy Carroll was more likely to score a winner for us yesterday than Marcus Stewart

Well, seen as Marcus Stewart doesn't play for us I agree.

Is odd tho, AC just seemed to be picking up a bit & misses the next 2 matches.

Not at all true, I'll admit his use of subs has puzzled me a bit this season, but if you want to talk about fundamental errors you don't have to look far, 25 goal attempts 15 shots on target 1 goal scored.for Norwich 10 shots on target.

There's your 2 fundamental stats, you can't allow the opposition 10 shots at goal and not expect them to score at this level, you also can't afford to only take 1 goal from 15 attempts and then expect to win because the majority of the time you won't. Both the defense and attack needs to improve to solve the errors, what do u want Kenny to do about it?

Kit up and sub himself on to show them how it's done?

In this situation, the buck stops with the players and they will be the first to admit so.

                      Play Agger.

Personally I think he was easing him in from Injury, we were chasing the game and we look a lot more dangerous when Agger is on the pitch. We were every unlucky in that game but we did let them back into the game in the 2nd half and it could have been worse. Pepe made a howler, they punished us for it on another day its 3-1 to us. I was happy with the performance and once they put in that, I can't complain, also as usual we had a open shut penalty turned down. 4 points dropped and we are 4 points off the CL spot, not the end of the world and I am reasonably content with that. We need to push on and hopefully we can notch up 6 points from West Brom away and Swansea at Anfield.

The buck always stop with the manager in almost every case if you don't have **** owners like Gillett and Hicks.

Why did he sign Downing? Ask yourself that question. Probably to make crosses to Carroll and he sits on the bench.

Is Downing a better option than Maxi if Carroll is on the bench? Not a chance.
Is Downing a better option if Carroll is playing? Yes, every day of the week.
Why even consider playing a no match fit Gerrard and Adam who time after time proved that he can't last more than 60 minutes in a two man midfield?

He is making fundamental errors. The same kind of errors that meant that Houllier got sacked.

Is he getting the best out of the players? No he isn't. That must change and that must change now or else it is bye bye fourth.

We will continue to drop points we shouldn't drop as long as Kenny make fundamental mistakes. He simply can't continue to play 4-4-2. We don't have the players to do that. We have the players to play a three man midfield. That is what suit our central midfielders like Gerrard, Adam and Henderson. It doesn't suit anyone of them to play a two man midfield.

I don't think we are easing Agger back after injury because then he wouldn't played against Rangers. We don't know who is Kenny's first choice yet. When Agger played Skrtel was out injured. Almost as soon as he got back Agger got injured.

The next league game will most probably show if Agger or Skrtel will be first choice.

Carra simply won't be dropped so it's pointless to even discuss that. I have said a few times now that I would play Coates and Agger together as long as they are fit but that won't happen. Not a chance.

Ffs, Coates isn't some 16 year old kid that we've picked up from a League Two club!

I'm not saying he'll come in and be fault free, but at the moment I can't see him being worse than Carragher or Skrtel (who to be fair, isn't doing too bad this season). Coates is the future, we've spent a fair whack on him and he's played at a very, very decent level for the last two years.
