He'd score more in 20 games per season than our players (barring Suarez, perhaps Gerrard and Maxi if given a run) would score in 50. Plus he seems to have put his injury problems behind him.

When I watch Rossi play I always have the same thought -Suarez and him together would be dynamite, he's fast, clever, good finisher and like Surez he has excellent off the ball movement. He's only 24 too so would fit FSG's model better than someone like RVP or Villa. But as someone said he would cost a lot plus we don't have CL football to offer, who knows.

He joined Inter just this Summer, plus he's 32.

Gerrard playing off a big man is a proven approach. and we can't rely on Surez playing every game in order for us to score goals. If this season is about building a team and transition, I think it's sensible to give systems that look good on paper a try, especially against teams where there is leeway provided by simply having better players. It is not ridiculous.

The problem is that pretty much no one else in our team seems to be able to score enough.

Extremley worrying atm seen as we can't seem to bang them in.

Although those who have replied have listed some very talented strikers, the only ones that stand out as goal poachers are Hernandez (who we're never going to get) and maybe Higuain/Llorente.

Is there no one banging them in for fun in a different league or lower league that we've not heard of, a real gem somewhere that has yet to be unearthed.....or am I asking for too much??

Higuain please, there was a tenuous link in the summer too. Him and Suarez would be fantastic.
                          We come not to play.

We didn't really play that way with Crouch, Gerrard often played on the right instead.
