I genuinely suggested him in the summer before rafa's last season on the basis that was was better than nothing and fitted our budget.

We`ve had great success with norwegians before (Kvarme, Kippe, Leonhardsen etc) so why not go for Moa Abdellaoue. He`s doing very well for Hannover (7 golas in 7 games this season), will not cost much (£5-8M). And he is a proper red.
A good finisher, might not demand a starting place every week and looks like he`s finally delivering at a high level.

Would give us a different option to kuyt on the right side, but don't think it's realistic, perhaps if we got cl but even then whoever wants him will be forking out at least 25 mil

Kippe is still knocking attackers around over here. A proper, old-fashioned central defender. Hard, good in the air, and completely useless with the ball.
